re: My Modified Maruti 800.

I find it more rigid and stiff now.To be honest I think the benefits at low speeds are next to nil, the effect is only when turning in at high speeds the car is stiffer and corners well.If you want to test this try driving a daewoo matiz with and without its factory provided strut brace.

re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Forgot to answer this part of your question. The stock rear coil spring suspension comes with 1 inch spacer from maruti(rubber pads).I have increased it further by an inch.So the difference isnt that great.I think Rao66 has a similar spacer in the rear of his 800.Although made of aluminium which is what I am looking for as well.

Awesome. How much did the new alternator cost you? What kind of fog lamps are you using? For strut brace look at
Craving Boost | Volvo 240 Performance
The one shown here is an adjustable strut brace, mine is fixed type strut brace. So there isnt any nut in the centre or at the strut ends for adjusting.
So whats the cost of the strut bar..
I am using 100/90 headlamps (philps) 100 watts fog lamps with hella bulbs (neo lights).
You can see the beam of my lamps in page 5..[:)]

For alternator details please refer my other thread -

re: My Modified Maruti 800.

I paid 1k for the lamps and 200 rs for the bulbs, rest was diy (wiring, fitting)
So was the beam good ?

Alternator costed me 5 k for the whole process. You can go for old type Santro's alternator 65amps new one will cost 3.5k (tvs make)

Where can I buy this strut bar in B'lore, here they are asking 3 k.
Please post a pic from your car..
