hi,

i want to know some answers to my questions.

first i want to change the headlight bulb with the white one, as i saw procedure how to change the headlight bulb here in the forum and did it in my wagon r, i found the bulb was the wattage of 55/60.

after that i went to the shop, the person told me that the bulb is available and i saw the wattage was 90/100. i told him that my stock bulb wattage is 55/60W. so he advice he for some relays.

i also went to the shop and ask for the price of the relay, he quoted me 250Rs for the relays 130 for the bulb white one of 90/100W and labour charge 100Rs.
total amount for the headlight bulb change is 610Rs.

now the question to the seniors are that whats is this relays and will this increase vision because my stock bulb are too dumb types. please explain.

plus i want to change the parking light of wagon r , can put the led one parking light, the one available on ebay site led parking lights.

Re: parking light and headlight bulb of wagon r 2008 model

250Rs for the relays 130 for the bullb white one of 90/100W and labour charge 100Rs.

Pretty cheap.
But from the quote he has given, I suppose he will not be using a proper harness. Instead he may be using pieces of wired connecting the battery, relay and use the existing bulb holders. 90/100W bulb requires Ceramic holders (OE ones can't withstand the amount of heat from higher wattage bulb)

I would suggest to get a proper wiring harness with ceramic holders installed.

Total cost should be around 1k INR for h4 bulbs.

^^^
These LEDs are available easily in the market (even at a cheaper price) Don't bother about ebay, source them directly.
And yes they look better than the stock bulbs and consumes less power.

So i took minda and two white bulbs 90/100watts and its H4 bulb. I didnt got white parking led bulb in the local market, so neee to took it from online.

Now my question to gurus are that should i go for dyi cor the relay or should i go to mechnic.
But my interest was deeply i dyi but i want a proper guide if somebody can Provide me guide for this.

Waiting for the reply.

you can use bulbs of 90/100 w not more than that. You can find bulbs of 130/150 w but these kind of bulbs will make a hole in headlight glass.
If you don't want to change the bulbs then simply install a relay in the stock harness it will improve the light to a certain extent.

To upgrade the headlights relay with proper wires and ceremic holders are utmost required. Good relays are from Philips and Hela and both are with ceremic holders. Good bulbs are Philips Rally (90/100W) and Osram 90/120W . There may be other relays and bulbs of good quality but these are time tested. Now , LEDs are available at MASS as MGP. Price of a pair is Rs.200/=.

Hi,

I have installed relay kit in my wagon r 2009 model with osram 130/90 w bulbs, everything is fine except while switching from high beam to low, does not decrease light, relay maker is trying to troubleshoot my problem since so many days, but no solution found. Today he asked me to check relays, but in my model, i dont think any relay controls headlights.
