When India has only options amby and fiat, MUL gave a cars like M800, good AC cars like Esteem and Iconic ZEN, I know people using these cars even after 2 lakh km. Friends my request please follow polite and harmoniums language.

-suryaputhra
I completely respect that opinion man,
Even I have had my major driving days with M800 and Zen MPFI, but that dosent make current MUL as good as the ones it used to be,
As I have been saying from the beginning all MUL has done prior to SWift era was great, they gave Indians what they demanded, but post the Success of SWift MUL is cheap and better described miserly and has taken the Indian customer granted

I have only one thing that MUL or MSIL to be done,
JUST GIVE INDIANS THE MSIL cars its making for other nations, or exports, not necessarily features but the substance
I have a friend in UK who has driven the SWift Sport he said thats a great car , even the 1.2 SWift in UK drives and feels solid, its got lower GC and bigger tires as well and still cheap, while the Indian swift can be said as one of worst car when it comes to safety

Just think of it, even after heavy criticism from GNCAP etc from 2014 tests, MSIL still even today it has sold over 140 unsafe cars to the poor general Indian public who still are way less informed than we are
In case of other brands they wont sell such unsafe cars even if sales is dont pick up, safety is something they wont compromise, not just safety, actually in most other counts nowadays almost all brands have bettered Maruti

Leave aside the topic, which has already ended with such an irrelevant mess.
See lets talk SAFETY first
MSIL cars are not safe period!
The Brezza and S Cross maybe exceptions
Now face the facts man, I have given video, web page proofs to my statements, now where is the proof for Maruti enthusiasts statements?
See in the real world conditions Maruti cars are joke when it comes to built quality, safety, strength, power, and even mileage and value

I read someone mentioning toppling over an Ecosport. No offence people, He's survived the first crash just to make another one it the same car is a proof in itself about the safety of a car. Ask him to try that with Brezza once.[lol]

BTW, I have an Ecosport and I can vouch for its handling and dynamics. My last car was a MS Swift and in comparison Ecosport beats that car by miles in these departments. Test drove Brezza and again felt like driving swift again. Perhaps a combination of Swift and Wagon R.

Brezza is actually what maruti has always been good at, a poor man's basic car. I feel Maruti has not done a good job with Brezza like it did with Ciaz or for that matter S-Cross.

Brezza will always outsell Ecosport. It's not because its a better car, but because it has pulled the Indian Herd.

Service Report - Swift 30k Service (in year 2012) - Cost 9.5K
- Ecosport 30K Service (May 2016) - Cost 4.4K - 1 K less than the ford calculator due to ongoing discounts in service.

True
Same situation here as well,my Figo now is 6 years old,
Iys service too has never crossed 4.5k range so far, the 4.5k service too was done really well and I amm so damn happy that I took a Ford over the Swift back in 2010, even today the Swift is no match to my Figo, maybe in mileage but rest all Ford is way way better than Maruti.

Regarding Brezza, I too felt the same, like its a high heeled Wagon R with Swifts genes, sales wise absolutely Maruti will bring the numbers but the csuv with substance is Ecosport,

Inbetweem any news on Brezza LDi O variant, is it available or is it a on paper only situation,
The waiting period is almost 6 months, as of now it seems,

Also Brezza owners try to put up, ownership reviews,

@bharatbharija, Brezza "a poor man's basic car"[lol]. 12 lakhs on road. Then those who buy 5 to 6 lakh rupees cars are they poorest, Poor, Poorest these words are not appropriate in our discussion. We need to respect all segment buyers.

I agree with your thoughts on this brother. My terminology of "poor" refers to the time and notion when people were buying M800 and likes. When due to budget constraints (Pre-Globalization) only the worlds cheapest and most basic cars made it to the Indian market with the best possible budget cuts in car, like poor interior quality and bad body parts.

Again, I have nothing against Brezza as such, I am just someone who feels Maruti is still to adapt upto this Mid-Segment cars (10-15 Laksh). Look at Ciaz, they did a wonderful job. Look at S-Cross, a decent job, however, Brezza, it doesn't receive a fair treatment. Its just made to reach the mass, the herd in true sense.

I would like to request all people to end the discussion of Ecosport vs brezza here. If it still needs to be don , please create a poll and thread somewhere if its already not created. Everybody has a opinion, a choice, we shouldn't have started comparing at first. I would like to congratulate every car owner for his purchase,

No Car is perfect, its perfect only for its lover. Cheers !!!!!

Brezza owners how is the projector head lamp setup in Brezza,
A friend of mine who test drove it at night told its lighting area is not that great and I told it should have been adjustment issue,
Also does the reverse camera how is it at night?

Also any word on Petrol Brezza launch, diesel has too much waiting so my frined is thinking of takin Brezza petrol istead as his running is just 5000 kms a year max,
He also test drove Ecosport ecoboost, loved it but again his parents are stubborn, and this time its their money so he is moving with Brezza,

Friends,

Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest car maker, is ramping up production of its compact SUV Brezza and will roll out 10,000 units a month from July to cater to strong demand for the vehicle.

This is the second time the company has revised sales estimates for the model launched in March. Maruti Suzuki had previously revised its production plan to 100,000 units a year from 80,000 units after the model got a favourable reception at the Auto Expo in February.

To not to spice up the discussion further, i'd like to summarise it precisely in a few lines.
Its a well thought, we conceived approach towards providing we Indians a best Compact SUV. Best here doesn't refers to best at all aspects, instead making it best out of all aspects.
Its a package designed to appeal to the masses, undoubtedly but is designed a way too like,
-It has Balanced Good Tall SUV-like looks.
-Its got good Ground clearance, as per segment standards.
-Its got wider 215 section tyres for those SUV-like road utility.
-Crash compliant Stiff Body structure with Good dynamics to be needed everyday.
-Comfortable seating.
-Good Fuel efficiency of ~24kmpl as Claimed.
-Maruti Suzuki service support with not so complicated mechanicals which can be managed to taken care of even by its busiest user in a day to day life activities.
-Its got functionality everywhere with Projector headlamps, LED light guides at front & Rear, Multi-functional Instrument console, Cooled Top Glovebox, Cruise control system, Push-Button Start-Stop, 6-Speaker Quality Touchscreen Music system with Apple Car Play.

Overlooking these aspects, some folks are calling it by inappropriate terms.
Its a car designed to appeal & for masses and to be driven by them all the day or by the time managing their daily life activities with trendy SUV style.

I'm truly an admirer of this well thought, well designed effort.

Ecosport too is a well thought out product for India,
Each product will show its roots,in terms of design, features, parity towards comforts and conveniemce in offer on markets, etc
Ecosport has Fords roots like SAFETY as top priority, followed by a good engine, good balance of ride and handling, suitable comfort convenience for 4,more than enough features to make anybody spending 10 lakhs feel worth it,and it adds spice in form of exterior design,SYNC II,the unique boot, etc
Ecosport is a product that stands out, it is a mass life style SUV,probably not everybodys cup of tea.
I still dont think Brezza has bettered Ecosport as a compact SUV,its at best as good as Ecosport,Maruti has cut a lot of corners with Brezza, specially interior wise, refinement wise, etc
Again just look at Ciaz interior and then Brezzas interior,Brezza is pakka Wagon R+ Swift inside,
Ecosport is a Fiesta MK VI inside, which is a a proper global B sedan.

I agree that for the mass market the Brezza will appeal as Maruti localized Brezza well, and 90+% Indian care only about mileage( advertised not real world),Maruti service,5 seat ability vs 4 seat ability, etc so its a success as of now,
More than all of the above the only reason I give a thumps up to Brezza is based on Marutis claim that its SAFE,
Everybody knows Maruti products will sell better even if its outclassed, eg Swift vs rivals,Dzire vs rivals, both beating competition by a minimum of 5:1 ratio,so sales numbers is not at all a yard stick ro measure the goodness of product, but the ability of rival brands to survive the Indian market is what I appreciate best,
In India a product has to be better than a competing Maruti to be at least in top 5 sales spots, and Ecosport still is a better product, its a tough product for not just Maruti but any brand to beat.
On another note check this out,
VW Ameo vs Ford Figo Aspire vs Maruti Dzire vs Honda Amaze vs Tata Zest vs Hyundai Xcent - Overdrive
We all know how much the Aspire and Ameo is going to sell compared to Dzire, despite Aspire and Ameo being far better products than the market leaders. Maruti and Hyundai.

Exactly man, I saw and sat inside the Brezza in person and for me at least it felt far cheaper than the Ecosport, I got a feeling like I am in a beefed up Wagon R, not even a beefed up Swift
Took words out of my mouth. I waited for Brezza and took a test drive and immediately booked the Ecosport.
I have waited almost 3 months for Brezza and it was a terrible let down. But no complaints. I got the Ecosport at almost a lakh rupees less than before the Brezza launch. [:D]

Wow.. which variant and colour and petr or diesel @tvssarma and keep us updated on this thread

I will agree that I am a little biased to Ford as I am a Ford owner, but even if I was not biased too I would have taken Ecosport over Brezza, as I feel my money is well spent on an Ecosport while the Brezza is compromised too much to my liking[:D]

I have in fact posted about booking the Ecosport in that thread.
Since this is a Brezza thread, i would like to post the positives I have noticed with Brezza. It has nice road presence. A couple of colors, especially the dual scheme verities are really good. Touchscreen infotainment system is good as well.

While I wait for my Brezza (estimated delivery Feb-Mar 2017) I am looking online to see what accessories I can get for it.

One thing that I'm looking for is the side step boards. It doesn't figure in the official list of accessories floating around the internet.

Can someone confirm if it is possible to get these for the Brezza?
