Re: Suzuki's New Premium Hatchback Baleno Now Launched!

I see
I drive a 2010 Ford Figo and for me the service shedule is like after buying car
2000 kms there will be a check up, with engine oil change

Then 10000 kms or 1 year,
Next is 20000 kms or 2 year and so on it goes

I think that makes service cheap as well since there is no need for 2 visits a year

Regarding suspension change, did they change just 1 suspension ?
Usually aftet susoension change also a wheel balancing and alignment has to be done,
Just check whether its done as well.
MS service schedule is 1000, 5000, 10000, 20000, 30000 and so on. Its tge sane for all brands. Just the free schedule part which varies

The changed both rear suspension shocks. The car feels a bit more compliant now. Though the underlying stiffness is still there. Since it was rear suspension, alignment and balancing is not required. Still, i had completed 10k km and tyre rotation and puncture was to be done, so i asked for alignment and balancing. But the ASC charges thrice the market rate for it, so I got it done outside

Did they change the shockers because of some problem you had or is it because Maruti is now doing something about the widespread complaint of a hard ride in the Baleno?

Sorry for the late response, I didnt get any alert of your post

They changed the suspension mostly because I kept complaining. Since, the car has become more floaty to ride in, like some sedans. However, jarrs when you hit pot holes or bad patches continue

Good News regarding Build Quality

Baleno manufactured from September 2016 onwards will be seen with Dashboard material quality as like in swift desire. Metal sheet quality also been changed. So you could see the sheet metal will be hard to deform. As in earlier Baleno has this problem. So cheers. MSIL has taken the feedback positively. Suspension related information yet to be received. Will update once will get the info.
- information received from reliable sources from MSIL plant.

So, what about all the boasting they did till now about safety quality with the tin can sheets, and what about people who have bought Baleno till now ?

Will the existing vehicles be welded again with new sheet metal ? [frustration]

Will dashboard be removed and fixed back ? [;)]

This is not (at least I feel) is expected for a PREMIUM HATCHBACK from a reputed manufacturer.

Isn't it normal for a manufacture to give new iterations to the existing products based on the feedback received from the end users? This is what M&M did to the T8 AMT version where they improved the BHP ratings. Toyota also did the same with Etios/Liva as well. So while it may come as a disappointment to the existing customer, it is required to be performed by the manufacturers. I really commend Suzuki here as they are serious regarding the feedback from customers [thumbsup]

Anyone willing to book a Baleno in hyderabad, can book in Nagole as a new NEXA has been opened today and they promise the car to be delivered in a month atleast if we dont give color choice.

P.S: The showroom look and feel is fully premium and believe me i just thought for a min if i could buy a new car just to take delivery from that showroom.

Surely you must be joking- no one would believe he/she gets a premium product at price range of 6-9 lakhs OTR. Its just the usual marketing fluff to get gullible customers in the name of MSIL.

Will appreciate if they do so, but I doubt they'll do so, just a query, if they increase the thickness of body mettle, won't it affect their claimed weight of the car, there by KW/Power, then Mileage.?
They may do, may be in the next Version.
Just a thought..

Finally Completed my 10k run on Baleno after 11 months 25 Days.[clap]

No major issues found so fat thankfully. (Touch wood)

Mileage is excellent on highways for a petrol engine that too with AC on all the time.

Done with my 3rd service and have opted for MCP which costed 6k. Will post the bill details later as i don't have them handy now.
