Well taking the car.
Revved the engine no leakage . Felt the handbrake was a bit rough so checked in another car near by was the same.
Idle rpm was initially close to 600rpm as mentioned here.
Then after a few minutes it went to 1000
Could hear a sound in reverse gear while releasing clutch. Kharr kharr. Is that because the gear is not slotted properly.
No dents on the body.
Today temp registration.
bro is that a zeta model or alpha and if zeta model what are your plans for reverse camera, let me know, as i have booked zeta model and expecting delivery by 15 june so need to make up my mind about the reverse camera.

Yes zeta. I opted for the maruti reverse camera. They have drilled a hole in between the second and third reverse sensor.
Note. The maruti camera has no marking guidelines. It gives a view of the back that's all.
Reason I went for this
1. Very much needed in my apt complex. Have to park between a pillar and a Honda city.
2. Did not want to tamper with warranty by doing after market atleast for first 6 months as I am not a very experienced car guy like people here to do self install. Also don't know any trusted mechanic.

Sadly they did not install camera in the chrome bar like in alpha.

Did reversing in the dealer basement and the display was clear.

It was this
https://pioneer-india.in/buy/car-entertainment-car-stereos-touchscreen-dvd-players/avh-299bt/

plus the cam.

He quoted 24. i bought it down to 20.5.

The cam is circular in shape. The chrome slot is a square shaped one. So the camera wont fit there i guess.(My thought process)

I asked him why not the chrome bar he said for that you have to buy the entire unit which costs a very high amount.

I knew he was bluffing but choose to keep quiet.

Its just a choice
1. If you have a good mechanic who knows his way around a baleno and does not splice any existing wires you will get an aftermarket which will fit in to the square slot on the chrome bar. There is even a DIY video here on the same site.
Money wise i think you will save some 3 to 4k i feel.
2. If you are not comfortable doing all this like i was you can go for the maruti one like i did. Its just even if something goes wrong i can go bang on them saying this is all your doing. I have paid extra for the guarantee so solve it now.

Question for the other owners:
Somewhere down the line since the wiring is already done for the maruti oem camera. Is there a similar camera with marking guidelines which can be replaced in the same slot. I can just connect the market cam to the same wiring right?

Does anyone know the maruti camera model number?

Will add photos tomo when i take the car out.

dear regarding your lines in the cam screen i have read in other forum that lines can be switched on but that can be done by nippon person only . as i remember that person had escalated the problem to maruti higher ups that mga is charging such a amount for the camera and screen and still they are not able to provide the grid lines so the maruti guyz contacted there vendor nippon and nippon further activated that feature , but they told him that lines are not caliberated for baleno.

Hi,

Yup
1. Mode change
2. Volume increase/decrease
3. Call receiving and disconnection.
4.Bluetooth setup
5.Mute

Everything worked.

Attaching snaps from reverse cam in apartment basement.

Drove for 35kms today never found any difficulty in half clutch in bumper to bumper traffic.

But one thing i noticed from my point having learnt driving on a swift the clutch travel i felt is very deep.

Did stall twice while coming up from the apt basement :( still havent mastered steep climbs. Cornering and all i felt very very comfortable for a new driver and a new car.

Car has done 100km in 2 days.

Havent checked tyre pressure.
Filled the tank. Display right now its showing 11.5.

Please reply as i have booked baleno delta and want to install camera and touch display which have features like bluetooth , usb , rear camera etc

you can add touch system without voiding the warranty if no wiring splicing is present in installation.
