Yesterday got an opportunity to click photographs of black interior. Serving it for member's knowledge base.
First two pictures are for Black vs Beige.
I seriously like running board in black colour. The beige running board gets too dirty quickly.
Frankly, Both are looking quite low class compared to my 1st gen XUV.
Is this a lower tier Model?
Look at door pads, they are so bland. Aluminium Highlights on Door grab handles, Unlock lever, Unlock button is gone. Two steering wheel highlights are gone.
Overall its just a wash of Black, and frankly looks like tar.

The complete black one is W10 Automatic. The one where you are seeing without seeing buttons on steering and tone of beige is W4 variant. Just clicked a picture of that as well to compare with Black and Beige.
I second you on door pads thing. They are looking like cheap plastic material.
The black interior with wine red combination was more classy than this black.
This Black+Wine was an option on most darker XUVs, esp Red, Blue and purple.
While and Black cars came with Tan+Biscuit+caramel combo that looks far superior to all of above.

I was desperately waiting Mahindra to launch Black interior in XUV5OO, but when I first time saw XUV5OO Brown exterior & Black Interior it was thumbs down from Me.
Black interior of XUV5OO looks ridiculous compared to Black & Beige. Thankfully Mahindra only offering that Interior color on Brown XUV5OO. I hope upcoming facelift version of XUV5OO will have some leather on dashboard & good quality plastics on Interior parts.
Its Retuned 2.2-Litre MHAWK Engine Is Likely To Produce Around 170PS Of Power And At Least 350Nm Of Torque XUV 500
By what we’ve come to learn, Mahindra will turn the screws on its existing 2.2-litre, turbocharged mHAWK diesel engine to harness around 170PS of power, with torque figures hovering around the 350-360Nm mark. That means a bump in power and torque figures by 30PS and 20-30Nm respectively. What’s more, the company is likely to launch this version around the 2017 festive period.
Yes prices for XUV5OO are reduced in Mumbai also checked this on Carwale today. But no price information available on Mahindra XUV5OO website.
About upcoming Mild Facelift version of XUV5OO, I haven't seen any prototypes tested on road by Mahindra. There are prototypes with camouflage (with Mahindra Imperio Grill ) running for upcoming SCORPIO facelift.

When I bought, I got discount of approximately Rs one lakh sixty thousand in following ways
1. Flat discount for May 17 - 42000
2. Corporate discount + Exchange - 25000
3. Insurance discount due to 50% NCB - 24000
4. Few more twists - 72000
-------------------------
In short I managed to get discount of 1.63 lakhs. Sigh of relief is that this month no dealer discount is offered.
If I would have bought this month then I would have got Rs 58000 discount + reduced price due to GST. = 1.58 lakhs
1. Corporate discount + Exchange - 25000
2. Insurance discount due to 50% NCB - 23000 (Premium is more because of increased ST @18%)
3. Miscellaneous - 10000
So overall as of now I am in almost no profit and no loss situation. If dealer offer any discount, then I am in huge loss.
I know Mahindra is working on U321 which is a MPV to fight with Innova Crysta & TML Hexa but Mahindra also working on SCORPIO Mild facelift as well as XUV5OO Mild facelift. The SCORPIO under testing has Imperio Grill which looks compared to current New Gen SCORPIO with Vampire Teeth like Grill.
As we heard NEWS of XUV5OO facelift is coming soon in 2017 I have list of features & changes I expect Mahindra will bring with New Age XUV5OO Facelift.
1. One of the most IMP feature which is missing in XUV5OO or I can say higher end SUV's from Mahindra e.g.SCORPIO. DRL's- Hope Mahindra will provide actual DRL's instead of some silly parking lights with upcoming facelift of XUV5OO as well as SCORPIO.
2. LED taillights.- New Age XUV5OO came with minimal changes at back side particularly taillights. I Expect Mahindra will bring LED taillights with upcoming facelift.
3. Good Quality plastics in interior.
4. Apple CarPlay.- As we know most of the manufactures are providing Apple CarPlay with Android Auto in their vehicles. Maruti have many of their vehicles loaded with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Last time Mahindra only introduced Android Auto in New Age XUV5OO. Its the correct time Mahindra to updated their high end SUV with Apple CarPlay.
5. Siding middle row seats.- XUV5OO got tons of space in middle row but at the same time last row has very much congested place. Sliding middle row will open up good space at last row eliminating no space in last row issue in XUV5OO.
Waiting for more edition to this from other TAI forum members.
