Hello everyone,

Most of the Indian airports have long stay car parking facilities !! Imagine the amount of money saved on taxi if we knew and used such a facility..
Every other international/domestic airports around the world have this facility.

I realised this when I have to go abroad for a couple of days, the taxi driver asked me 4K for travelling (+fuel) to Kempegowda International Airport Bangalore (KIAB) from Mysore. I looked up on internet and found out that KIAB has long term parking facility and I called them up just to ensure.

The charges were 500 INR for first day and 300 INR for each consecutive days. When i reached airport I told attendant I'll be leaving my car long term, they guided me to a very good and a secure parking place (P2). Long term parking had wider parking lane width, like if we open doors of two consecutive cars there'll be space for 1 person to move in-between the doors.

After returning 4th day, I just paid 1275 INR @ airport parking and total costs including fuel & Food was 3000 INR.

Tip : Next time if you are parking for a lone term @ airport, please make sure to take some pictures of parking spot and your car for safety/insurance purpose. We never know what might happen.

And please share your experience of parking long term @ Indian Airports.

Have done it quite a few times in Bangalore Airport. It does work out to be cheaper. I do hear that there hasn't been any untoward incidences yet.

Normally, our cars/bike are more secure in airport than on streets. But you know, morons exists everywhere.
