2025 Kia Seltos new variant features

HTE(O)

The HTE(O) variant serves as the new entry point for the Seltos range and commands a premium of Rs 23,000 over the outgoing HTE trim. On the outside, the Seltos HTE(O) gets 16-inch steel wheels and LED headlights and tail-lamps, with the latter sporting a connected setup similar to that of the HTK. Cabin features include an 8-inch infotainment screen, 6-speaker sound system, illuminated power windows for all doors, etc. The variant can be had with manual versions of the Seltos' petrol and diesel engines, but automatic transmissions are off the table.

HTK(O)
The HTK(O) variant includes every feature in the HTE(O) trim, but additionally gets cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, mood lamp, smart key with motion detection, and more. Exterior changes feature upgraded 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rail, and a functional rear wiper with washer and defogger. Much like the Seltos HTE(O), HTK(O) variants can only be paired with a manual gearbox.

HTK+(O)
The HTK+(O) variant sits in the upper echelon of the Seltos range. It features 17-inch alloy wheels, sequential LED indicators in the headlights, LED fog lamps, auto-fold rearview mirrors, a gloss black grille, and chrome belt line. Inside, the HTK+(O) trim offers an electronic handbrake (only for IVT variants), parcel tray, artificial leather-upholstered gear knob, and more. Buyers of the HTK+(O) variant can opt for the manual, IVT, or torque converter transmissions depending on the engine they go with.

Three engine options are available with the Kia Seltos. The sole diesel offering is a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel mill developing 116hp and 250Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto gearbox. Petrol options include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor producing 115hp and 144Nm, which can be coupled to a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission. There's also a punchier 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit that's good for 160hp and 253Nm, with gearbox options limited to a 6-speed clutchless manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

All prices ex-showroom.
