Now that car is expected to be priced around 65L ex showroom price.
Will that be appreciated by cost concious indian buyer? Or being a CBU route they are pricing it that high to test the Indian buyer? Personally I was shocked to look at the price. For me the fair price for this upmarket car could around 30L.

Yes, I too feel the price is bit high, but believe Kia is testing the market as seen some media reports that only 100 units which are allocated for the first year since the company would want to gauge the Indian market response.

Kia EV6 electric crossover launched in India

WhatsApp_Image_2022-06-02_at_12.31.12_PM_1654153451117.jpg
Kia EV6 electric crossover finally makes its way to India in two trims- GT Line RWD and GT Line AWD. The GT Line RWD is priced at ₹ 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the GT Line AWD is priced at ₹ 64.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia EV6 is making its way to India via the CBU route, and the 100 units allocated for Indian market are already sold out. In fact, the company received an overwhelming response as it registered 355 pre-bookings for the electric car, and will make up for it by allocating more units to India.

The two variants of the Kia EV6 launched in India have predominantly only one difference, the drivetrain. The RWD version of the Kia EV6 gets a single motor, that delivers 226 bhp and a healthy 350 NM of torque, while the AWD version gets a dual motor setup, delivering a combined output of 320 bhp and a whopping 650 Nm of instant torque. Both the versions get the same 77.4 kWh battery pack, with the claimed range on RWD being 528 km. The AWD version gets a much-reduced range, due to the dual-motor setup, and Kia claims that it can travel up to 425 km on a single charge.

The car gets two screens which take the centre stage on the dash, ADAS features like multi-collision braking, AEB, lane-keeping assist, lane follow assist, and blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and some other features like parking collision avoidance assist, a reverse surround view monitor with a 3D model and a blind-spot view monitor. There is also a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) built in. The car comes with ABS, BAS, ESC, Hill Hold Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Vehicle Stability Management.

2023 Kia EV6 priced at Rs 60.95 lakh

Kia India has priced the 2023 EV6 from Rs 60.95 lakh for the GT Line variant and Rs 65.95 lakh for the GT Line AWD variant (both prices ex-showroom). Bookings for the all-electric EV6 will open on April 15, 2023.

The EV6 was launched in June 2022 for Rs 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the second lot of EV6s to be made available to buy in India and there will be no cap on the number of bookings as of now. Kia also mentioned that it will soon announce a special offer for the first few bookings.

Tae-Jin Park, MD & CEO of Kia India, said “For this year, we are focussing on importing more products to cater to the audiences who couldn’t get their hands on the premium car last year by expanding our dealer network.”

The South Korean carmaker said that since the launch of the EV6, it has managed to sell 432 units, four times more than what it had initially planned. To keep up with the demand, Kia plans to expand its EV dealership network from the current 15 outlets in 12 cities to 60 outlets in 44 cities.

Additionally, Kia will also expand its 150kW high-speed charger network to all 60 dealerships. The first 150kW charger was installed in Gurugram in July last year and a 240kW DC fast charger was also installed in Kochi in August.
