Kawasaki Motors has launched the updated 2023 Versys 1000 in the Indian market. The latest version of the bike is priced at Rs 12.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The new motorcycle does not receive significant updates, but gets a DC socket as standard that was earlier sold as an accessory. In terms of design, the litre-class adventure tourer looks the same as the 2022 model. The updated bike comes in a single variant and is offered in only dual-tone Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey with Metallic Spark Black.

The 2023 Kawasaki Versys 1000 gets a step-up seat design, a twin-pod headlight, a fairing with integrated cornering lights, an adjustable windscreen, a luggage rack at the rear, and a side-slung exhaust.

It comes with an all-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue-style tachometer, a multi-function TFT-coloured LCD screen, a Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) that controls Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, an anti-lock braking system, traction control system, electronic cruise control, assist and slipper clutch, smartphone connectivity, and so on.

The engine on the 2023 adventure-style Versys 1000 is unchanged. The motorcycle is powered by a 1,043cc, inline 4-cylinder engine that has a power output of 118bhp at 9,000rpm and peak torque of 102Nm at 7,500rpm. Power transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed gearbox that features a slipper and assist clutch mechanism.
