Kawasaki has launched the 2025 iterations of the Ninja ZX-4R and ZX-4RR in India. While the 2025 Ninja ZX-4R brings a price change only, the 2025 Ninja ZX-4RR comes with a triple-tone Lime Green/Ebony/Pearl Blizzard White paint scheme along with a price revision. Price-wise, the updated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R and Ninja ZX-4RR can be had at Rs 8.79 lakh and Rs 9.42 lakh, making them Rs 30,000 and Rs 32,000 more expensive than their respective 2024 versions. The prices are ex-showroom.
Both bikes continue to use a BS VI Phase II-compliant 399cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. The slip-and-assist clutch is standard, while the higher-spec Ninja ZX-4RR also gets a bi-directional quickshifter.
The engine mounted on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R cranks out 39Nm of peak torque at 13,000rpm and 78bhp at 14,500rpm with RAM air intake (75bhp without RAM air assistance). The same motor on the Ninja ZX-4RR makes 39Nm of peak torque at 13,000rpm and 76bhp (without RAM air) at 14,500rpm. With RAM air, this power figure reaches 80bhp.
The standard Ninja ZX-4R features a steel trellis frame, suspended with the help of upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The ZX-4RR rides on a more premium WorldSBK-inspired steel trellis frame, with the suspension setup comprising inverted Showa separate-functioning forks with preload adjustability at the front and horizontal back-link Showa monoshock at the rear. The latter can be adjusted for rebound, compression, and preload.
Braking hardware is the same for both bikes – 290mm dual discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The disc brakes come mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres.
Both bikes offer all-LED illumination and a 4.3-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT dash, which displays notification alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. They also get traction control, ABS, a slipper clutch, and four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, and customisable Rider).
