I was planning for jawa bike but now i have dropped the plan and the only reason is its timing chain noise. I liked the retro looks of the bike and immediately decided to have one. Many says that exhausts are not having ground clearance but i say even classic royal enfield and avenger has low ground clearance exhausts. People also say that engine gets stall suddenly while running but i ignored it. CC of bike is also good that is 300cc so that i could get little more milage compared to those 400cc bikes and also more power than those 180 and 200 cc segment bikes.

Every time i use to see this bike on road but not able to hear its exhaust sound. But one day at signal one guy with his jawa machine was next to me and i immediately lowered my window to hear that machines voice( very eager to hear that) but after hearing that my mood went down because the timing chain voice is loud. I felt there must be some technical issue with this particular bike only. So i ignored it and after some days it happened that i parked the car and went some distance away and suddenly i saw jawa bike was parking side to my car, so i hurried up and went back pretending to check the doors locked or not properly and i found the same timing chain loud voice.. After that whenever i got chance i kept listening to jawa's voice and every time i noticed the same timing chain loud voice, infact i will say it noise. Its very irritating noise, otherwise the bike has good exhaust sound.

I keep wondering that the jawa makers did ever noticed other bikes engine voice ? Nowadays bikes for example ktm has almost zero timing chain voice, vey smooth engine and after that i think yamaha also has smooth engine. I remember those days when bajaj pulsar and all that time bikes were newly launched , were having that timing chain voice but now even pulsar dont have that noise. I am saying this because i am having pulsar 150 since 2003 and i know its voice very well. I think jawa makers should do some research and make vanish that irritating noise. The bike makes sound like some very old bike is having timing chain issue. Any way my plan is canceled to have this bike.
