Depending on your need. I had a lot of puncture issues earlier and since a deflating tyre is not visible for naked eyes, I had to buy one to periodically check the pressure. Of course, you can do it in petrol pumps, if you can invest time and effort and most importantly if you can find petrol pumps with air check up which is very rare in Pune! Every pump will have a puncture wala outside, who rules the place. Their analog gauge is more than agreeable...
Thanks Vibhor
I was searching Skoda Octavia Style plus , and they offer built in tyre pressure monitor .
Cars with big names have it .
How much useful it is ?
Manual measurements always loose some air . It may be benificial
What you say ?
The inbuilt TPMS is accurate upto 1 psi. However, note that the low pressure warning comes up only when the psi is 25% below the recommended psi, so it is better to inflate the tyre well before warning light comes up - at least by the time psi drops upto 5% of recommended psi.
I'm using TPMS in XUV 500 W8 (OEM).
Its accurate to 1psi of Electronic, dedicated gague.
However one design fault is one cannot take reading unless there is a warning coming up. Also, tyres with 25 or above PSI are shown as OK (recommended pressure 32).
I guess these are software/GUI design faults rather than TPS sensor itself.
