The magnitude of the increase ranges from Rs 14,000 to Rs 16,000, which is a rather steep hike. In fact, the bike now starts at Rs 2.85 lakh, meaning that the starting price is now higher than the earlier price of the top-most colour option.

Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X prices hiked for the first time

Nine months after the Triumph Speed 400 was launched, it has now received its first price hike. The same goes for its off-road capable sibling, the Scrambler 400 X. Prices for the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X currently stand at Rs 2,34,497 and Rs 2,64,496, respectively.

When the Triumph Speed 400 was launched last year at Rs 2.33 lakh, it shook the industry up quite a bit and set a new benchmark when it came to aggressive pricing strategies. Its introductory pricing of Rs 2.23 lakh made that deal further sweeter and was valid for the first 10,000 bookings.
