Hyundai has updated the Venue for 2023 with new features and specs. Prices for the 2023 Venue start at Rs 10.33 lakh and go up to Rs 13.90 lakh (both ex-showroom). After the latest update, Venue has become the first SUV in its segment to offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The Korean carmaker has added the ADAS feature from the SX(O) variant onwards with prices starting at Rs 12.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The updates are applicable on both the standard and N-Line models of Venue.

Hyundai has introduced ADAS functionality in the top-spec SX(O) trim with 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, whereas on the Venue N Line, ADAS is being offered in the top-spec N8 trim. Venue is the fourth model in Hyundai’s lineup to be offered with ADAS after the Ioniq 5, Tucson and Verna.

With the inclusion of the ADAS package, Venue comes equipped with safety features like forward collision warning and avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, lane following assist, high beam assist, and leading vehicle departure alert.

That said, the ADAS package still lacks features such as automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, indicating that this ADAS kit on the subcompact SUV adheres to ADAS level 1 technology.

2023 Hyundai Venue: Return of 6-speed MT
The other big update in the 2023 Venue range is the return of the conventional six-speed manual transmission in the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 6-speed manual gearbox recently made a return with the 1.0-litre petrol unit in the newly launched Venue Knight edition.

The 1.0-litre GDI turbo petrol engine pumps out 118 bhp and 172 NM of peak torque. This unit is also available with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. Other engine options in the Venue lineup include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor and a 1.5-litre diesel mill.

Hyundai Venue with sunroof now Rs 1.05 lakh more affordable

Hyundai has introduced a new S(O) + variant for the Venue at Rs 10 lakh. The new variant essentially adds an electric sunroof over the S(O) variant it is based on, making it the most affordable variant to be offered with this feature.

Hyundai Venue S(O) +: what’s new?
Priced at Rs 10 lakh, the new variant sits between the S(O) (Rs 9.89 lakh) and SX (Rs 11.05 lakh) variants. Over the former, it just gets an electric sunroof, which was previously offered from the SX variant onwards. Do note that the new S(O) + variant is only available with the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder NA petrol engine option with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Despite the new variant, the Hyundai Venue isn’t the most affordable compact SUV in India to offer a sunroof. At Rs 8.99 lakh, the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX2 Pro retains the title.

Hyundai Venue S(O) +: other features
Apart from a sunroof, the new Venue variant also gets LED projector headlamps with DRLs, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a digital instrument cluster and more. Safety features on offer include six Airbags, a highline TPMS, ESC, HAC, a rear camera, and so on.

Hyundai Venue: price, rivals
The Hyundai Venue is currently priced from Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.48 lakh, and faces competition from compact SUVs such as Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Fronx, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Toyota Taisor.

Hyundai Venue S+ with sunroof launched at Rs 9.35 lakh

The Hyundai Venue with sunroof has become even more accessible thanks to the new Venue S+ entry-level variant priced at Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai’s compact SUV has been facing stiff competition from newly launched contenders such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the facelifted Tata Nexon. The Korean brand has been constantly updating the Venue’s variant line-up and features to keep it competitive. Just two weeks ago, Hyundai introduced the Venue S(O) variant.

he Venue S+ sits below the recently launched S(O) variant and comes with a single powertrain option: a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 82hp, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. At Rs 9.35 lakh, the Venue S+ is the most affordable variant to be equipped with a sunroof. Additional features include a digital infotainment cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has rear AC vents, TPMS and automatic headlamps, among other features.

The Venue S+ is slightly more expensive than the XUV 3XO MX2 Pro (Rs 8.99 lakh), which gets a sunroof but comes with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine instead of a naturally aspirated unit on the Venue. The entry-level Nexon Smart+ S 1.2 petrol is priced at Rs 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Venue with sunroof now starts at Rs 8.23 lakh

FireShot Capture 674 - Hyundai Venue E+ Variant With A Sunroof Launched, Priced At Rs 8.23 L_ ...png

Hyundai has launched yet another trim of the Venue compact SUV that makes the sunroof a little more accessible. Priced at Rs 8.23 lakh, the new Venue E+ is now the most affordable trim in the lineup to get a sunroof. This is just the second trim in the Venue lineup that sits above the base E trim which is priced at Rs 7.64 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new E+ trim comes in just about a month since Hyundai launched the Venue S+ trim, which too, made the sunroof more accessible from the S(O) trim from which it was previously offered on. This brings down the price of the sunroof-equipped variant by Rs 1.12 lakh.

Apart from the sunroof, there are no additions over the base E trim. So, you miss out on features like a touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlamps, auto AC and even a music system. While some of these features can be added as aftermarket accessories, a sunroof isn’t easy as an aftermarket fit, so some might find value in this new trim given how sought after the feature is.

You do, however, get a semi-digital instrument cluster, front power windows, manual AC, adjustable headrests for front and rear seats, and 60:40 split for the rear seats. Safety features include six airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, ESC, hill-start assist and ABS with EBD.

The Venue E+ is only available with the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine produces 83hp and 114Nm of torque.
