Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

it indicates that i am more often driving car with less air pressure.
it worsened from past 4 months........if i use it so it may make my trye useless
Better get it checked. A stitch in time saves nine. No point in spending 4K when job can be done in 40-50 Rs.

With regard to Nitrogen, a top up every 60 days required ? Also, suppose if I refill with Nitrogen and in the next fill, I use normal air and for the next refill if I need to use Nitrogen, do I need to just refill or start as new Nitrogen fill ?

Well it depends buddy, In 60 days when I get the car's nitrogen level checked it is just topped up by 5-6 points(Honda City needs 32 and 30 Psi). Top up is just a general precaution which one should take.

In case after having nitrogen you fill normal air or vice-versa, then through Nitrogen inflator the normal air is first taken out and then nitrogen is re-filled. Its a matter of 5-10 minutes only.

Facing problem with driver side tyre.........
Air pressure getting decreased.
2-3 months back it used to decrease till 25 where as others stay at 30.(every 15 days)

now a days i need to refill this tyre every 3-4 days exclusively(it used to go till 14-18)

what can be reason? Puncture or value problem..

is there any solution to this types of problem or just replace it??
:agree: I have been facing the exact same problem. The driver side tyre deflates very fast. I'll be visiting those tyre shops of Apollo to have it checked professionally and also do a wheel alignment/levelling check since my car tends to turn towards the right.

I had the tyres checked. The left tyre had two punctures. The right one had a very minor scrape on the side. All three of these were repaired following the usual tubeless tyre repair kit. I had the wheel alignment checked as well, minor changes made. Nitrogen refilled completely. Let's see how it goes now.

Any idea why it wasn't found in the earlier check up by the local shop?
Good that you have got the alignment checked.[clap]

Hi Anuj

The drls sure look good and you got a good deal from ebay as well. I have fixed the same kind of drls on my car as well and I have also connected the white wire to the parking light which dims the drls to 50% when the parking light is turned on. My mechanic also connected one wire to the fuse box however the drls turn off immediately when i turn off the ignition. There is no delay whatsoever. I would suggest you take the car back to your mechanic and have him check it.
Hey Jonathan, tried all the fuses, turns out in Asta the current runs for another minute after switching off the car, that might be the reason it is switching off promptly in your car and not in mine.
Rest assured it looks fantastic as come-home Leds [clap]. I hope it doesnt create additional load on battery.

It was a foggy morning yesterday in Lucknow, clicked few more pics in all combinations, DRLs are pretty bright for the kind of day light we are having here during winters.

The right tyre puncture (on the side) was very small. When it was checked initially, there were hardly any significant bubbles coming out when it was checked. This time, it was checked more carefully.

Even though I had the punctures repaired and nitrogen refilled, i purposely checked the air pressure two days later while refuelling. The right tyre was again down to 29. [surprise] Maybe the air pressure gauge or the machine is faulty. However, I did get a better drive with the air pressures corrected.

I'll now try checking air pressures at different pumps and also get myself a meter to check it personally. Any suggestions on what type of meters would give accurate readings? I was searching on ebay and found quite a few types (digital, analog, fitted with vaccum cleaner/compressors, etc)

As far as i can recollect one time when I asked at Hyundai's workshop it was for approx 4500INR. They may charge you additional 600INR for painting the mirror to match your car's color and then the labor costs as well.

Mine is Magna, and the Driver side mirror was broken, when a two wheeler hit it. I took the car to the showroom , the expenses was : For complete set of mirror Rs.1440/- and for painting Rs.1000/- , the total is Rs.2,440/-.
The mirror is a complete set, no parts are replaced. The set is black in colour, it would be painted depending on the colour of the vehicle.

I just enquired and found out that it costs 3500INR. Plus another 700INR for painting. Not bad considering its motorized and has the indicator as well.

Mine is the sportz version so it has the fold option as well as mirror indicators. I was told it costs 3500INR here.

Do you think 700INR is justified to paint that small area? [frustration]
Definitely not! But what can I do? You'll not be able to match the color. Mine is neither black or white. Hence replicating will be difficult. [frustration]

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Hi Guys ,

Unfortunately my Grand i10 also got hit by a two wheeler and the glass of the left OVRVM broke off . The blinker is fine and the mirror is folding as well, no issue on that. My question is whether the glass can be replaced or do Hyundai will replace the full mirror ?
I found some seller on ebay quoting 350-400Rs for the glass but not sure if i can fit that on my own or HASS will fit it for me.

Please let me know.

Regards
