I am about to book Asta (O) AVN VTVT; someone said to me that the petrol engine is no fun to drive. When driving with 5 people on board with AC running, it does feel sluggish. - Is that True? - Pls. revert whosoever having Elite Petrol would help to me...
I am not sure about CRDI engine, as I have not driven it..
Currently I am using my i10 1.2 Petrol which is good and having proper engine for City Driving...
Pls. Suggest.
yes it is sluggish but it does the job. if you wanna overtake someone with a fully loaded car with ac switched on you are gonna have to work those gears

I td the elite i20 with 3 people. Yes it was sluggish but the power delivery was linear. True you will have to downshift to overtake on highways but i guess you will have to do this in most of the cars.
I td the jazz on the same day with 3 people and i was shocked to see that the engine just won't move the car. At higher rpm the power was noticeable but still sluggish. If you have main usage in city then go for the elite i20.
I also test drove the polo petrol but the long clutch travel was tiring for me.
Take a look at the toyota liva as well. Agreed it does not have the best interiors and the build quality but the car was fun to drive. The brakes were really good with a very effective AC.

My choice would be the elite i20 if budget is not a problem. I get 10 kmpl in my verna petrol , grand i10 gives 14 kmpl so i20 should return between 12-14 kmpl.

+100 to that buddy.
I had the same impression when I drove the Jazz petrol, too sluggish for me. And we were only 2 people. Next time I happen to take the TD again with my cousin who is looking for an automatic and I felt that the automatic Jazz is much much better than the manual one. Significant difference in lag between auto and manual which makes auto fun to drive much better than the manual.

Dear All,

I have booked Asta(O) Petrol today...
But i have surprised to see that waiting period starts and car is not available in stock. Dealer told me that it will take min. 15 to 20 days or may be month as its nowhere in stock and it has to be transit...
As today Saturday almost past they will log my order on Monday and let me know exact status about delivery date...
Lets see how fast they deliver...
Waiting for the beauty to come home soon..

Here in delhi nappa leather seat covers are available starting from 8000 and above. In my opinion go for normal rexine seat covers with bucket fitting, they might cost under 4000, and they look fabulous will put some photos on tomorrow.
And go for 3dmats with proper fit they might cost around 800-1000. You can also opt for 3M mats i dont know their price but they might be around 3000-5000.
Experts please shed some light on these topics

I do own it and i am pretty much satisfied with its performance.its a city car but that doesnt mean its gonna feel out of breath on the highway. Rest it all depends on your driving style. You should test drive it.
