I have booked my i20 Elite asta White , delivery on 27th July. Showroom guys said there are some news about AVN but they have no idea when it will be released.
Hyundai reduces features on Elite i20.
The following are the features that go missing on different variants:
Elite i20 Sportz:
– Auto up and down for driver’s window
– Leather wrapped gear knob
– Leather wrapped steering wheel
- Boot Lamp
– Just one flip key

hey guys I wanted to know how much average does i20 petrol give in purely a city drive. I have a grand i10 petrol and it gives 12kmpl with around 20% a.c use in city (delhi). Since i20 has electronic throttle does it have any positive impact on the average?
i20 petrol isn't known for High Fuel Efficiency, the best it can give in Delhi traffic is 10 kmpl. I have diesel i20 & it gives around 13 kmpl in city with AC.
If they don't remove features, how will they sale overpriced creta?

We had previously reported that Hyundai will be introducing a touchscreen infotainment system in the i20 hatchback. Now we've received information that the company will be introducing the system on the i20 Active and the Verna sedan as well.
The carmaker removed some equipment from the i20 in April, like the 12V power outlet from the top-spec Asta trim and the leather-wrapped steering and gear knob from mid-spec variants. It's likely that the feature deletions were carried out to make way for this new touchscreen system, without having to raise prices too much.
Given that the recently launched Jazz hatchback from rival Honda gets a touchscreen on the top trim, Hyundai's move could well be an attempt at better positioning the i20 against it. The i20 and i20 Active will get the touchscreen system by end July, while the Verna will see the introduction of the system around Diwali.

I went to Himgiri Hyundai today to check out the Elite i20 diesel and I had a word with the accessory department incharge and he told me that the AVN touchscreen will be 45K and one can only get it installed during delivery of a new car not after that from the dealer.
Personally I think that it is too over priced and with the upcoming price increase the overall price of the car with this AVN unit will be too high for a hatch.

The price increase which came into effect from 1 Aug is not that high for Elite i20.
Earlier prices as on (27 July) - Sportz diesel was Rs 858307 (EX-showroom + Registration + Handling Charges + H.S.R.P Charges + Zero Dep insurance + Extended warranty + Essential kit). And now the on road price is Rs 863307. So it's just 5k difference which is not that high as some people were thinking that the price increase will be 10-15K.

^^ Glad they didn't increased the price to some insane level while removing some features. What's with manufacturers these days? Increase price, remove features! Why not increase couple of features and add price. It makes sense, doesn't it?

Now our sources have confirmed this news, with Hyundai equipping the top trim levels of the i20 and the i20 Active with a touchscreen infotainment system. The seven-inch AVN system will be seen on the top-spec SX trim of the i20 Active, while the i20 gets the system on its new top-spec Asta(O) trim.
The i20 Active continues to be offered in three trim levels – Base, S and SX – with the top-spec SX trim now being offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine as well. The touchscreen system offers Bluetooth, aux and USB connectivity, as well as the display of the rear parking camera, previously shown on the rear-view mirror.
The standard i20 hatchback's new top trim level, Asta(O), is positioned above the Asta trim. The Asta(O) trim gets the addition of the seven-inch touchscreen AVN system with USB, aux and Bluetooth connectivity, along with all the features present on the Asta trim.
The prices of these new variants with audio-video-navigation are:
Hyundai i20 petrol Asta (O): Rs 7.49 lakh
Hyundai i20 diesel Asta (O): Rs 8.69 lakh
Hyundai i20 Active SX petrol: Rs 8.30 lakh
Hyundai i20 Active SX diesel: Rs 9.61 lakh
