Friends what are the advantages of 3D foot mats, it is just aesthetics or some technical benefits are also there. I like nomad mats installed by Ajay[:)], are they better than the 3D floor mats?
You pay a premium for 3D mats and its definitely worth. The cleaning of car interiors is much easier as all the dust and tiny stone particles etc gets accumulated and there is no spill over to the floors. Using this for the past 3.5 years on my Ritz and is still going strong.

Honda recommends 26F and 29 R. I recommend 27/30 for highways. For cities its the Honda way that I go.(26/29)
Honda's recommended pressure is 26 F and 28 R. But, I prefer 30/32 on highways. This takes care of ground clearance and fetches me a satisfied F.E of 18-19 with a.c .
Now this is interesting; Brio owners reporting different psi's printed on their cars. In mine (July 2013 model) its stamped, 29F/26R.

What could have been the reason for this? Has Honda retuned the suspension in newer cars?

Look is not much important to me, i want utility wise opinion.
i have normal mats in my Brio. Except for monsoons when mats generally get more dirty and muddy, the normal mats do a fine job.

If you have money to spare go for 3D else normal mats are equally good.

Hi fellow Brio-ians,

I have certain queries. Any help will be appreciated. My second service pending in a months time.

-How much do the sun films cost?
-Do the Honda service people wax and polish the car on our request during the 6 month service ?
-when is the best time to change to synthetic oils ? Mobil will be the choice. But have been informed that synthetic oil should not be used in the run-in. My ODO currently reads 5000.

1) sun films are banned in india. No point wasting $$ on them.
2) they will clean it and wax it on request FOC. They did for me in my year 1 paid service too.
3) You do not need synthetic oil since service is every 6 months.

Hi Ajay,

Why do you need sun films when you are not supposed to use?
Again regarding synthetic oils, why should you switch to synthetic oil when mineral oil does a decent job on gasoline engines? Any specific reasons?

sun films or cooling sheet. Planning to get one installed. When I take the car out of bangalore, it really heats up the cabin very fast when parked. Just to avoid that situation.

Synthetic oils will provide more refinement to an already refined engine [;)]. The life will also increase with its additives.

For curbing the heat issue do plan for windscreen sun shades as it comes very cheap and also easily removable.

Yes Synthetics do provide more refinement but i feel its more for diesel engines and not for gasoline. Moreover with a servicing cycle of 6 months/5000kms for Honda, synthetic oil is not an economical option. Maruti recommends usage of Synthetic oil for their MJD and it lasts for 15000kms. Do think about this once again buddy. [roll]
