Ford is bolstering its off-road SUV range in Australia, with a new 2025 Ford Everest Tremor joining the line-up.
Based on the Everest in popular mid-range Sport trim, the 2025 Ford Everest Tremor brings a range of upgrades and changes aimed at improving off-road performance.
Unlike the Ranger Tremor ute - which is only available with a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged 'BiTurbo' four-cylinder diesel engine, the Everest Tremor is equipped with Ford's 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel.
In comparison to 150kW and 500Nm from the Euro 6-compliant BiTurbo engine, the larger diesel V6 makes 184kW and 600Nm, running through a 10-speed automatic gearbox and clutch-based, selectable four-wheel drive system which is able to drive all four wheels on sealed surfaces.
All variants of the Ford Everest also use 'Adblue' selective catalytic reduction, which reduces the levels of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust through a urea-based exhaust fluid.
Similar to the Ranger Wildtrak X and Tremor limited-edition models, the Everest Tremor gets uprated suspension which comprises a 26mm lift. Along with new springs, larger Bilstein shock absorbers – with position-sensitive damping and piggyback-style external reservoirs – are used.
Light-truck General Grabber AT3 tyres are used on the Everest Tremor, mounted on black alloy wheels that give a 30mm increase in track width.
There's a steel bash plate for some additional off-road protection, as well as 'heavy-duty' side steps.
The Everest Tremor also picks up a 'Rock Crawl' driving mode, but appears to miss out on the 'Trail Turn' feature that Ranger Tremor has. And if that's not enough, Everest Tremor buyers can look at the $3500 Rough Pack (which includes fitment of an ARB Stealth Bullbar), a $2500 Touring Pack, a $1100 Premium Seat Pack and $1900 Towing Pack. It's currently unclear whether the inclusion of a bullbar in the Rough Pack also includes further adjustments to the front suspension.
Premium paint is available for $700, and an exclusive Command Grey will be available for the Everest Tremor.
The 3500kg braked towing capacity remains intact for the Everest Tremor, but the additions and upgrades will likely reduce the 682kg payload of the Everest Sport V6. The 2024 Ford Everest Tremor is priced from $76,590 plus on-road costs, which makes it $2850 more expensive than the $73,740 (plus on-road costs) Everest V6 Sport.
