Force Motors has unveiled “Urbania” (codenamed T1N), which is India’s first fully ground-up, next generation modular monocoque panel van platform. Force Urbania is equipped with a BS-VI compliant Mercedes-Benz derived Common Rail Diesel engine which delivers 115 BHP and 350 Nm peak torque starting from 1400 - 2200 RPM. It was showcased at Auto Expo 2020 as well but the launch had to be rescheduled due to pandemic.

Force Urbania Highlights:
- Force Urbania was revealed at the Dealers Meet in Indore where select dealers from India and abroad were invited for plant tour and test rides.
- Development of this ground-up modular monocoque van and setting-up of the manufacturing facilities has been done with an investment of over ₹1,000 crores.
- The vehicle is developed with global aspirations. It is design protected for plying in select ASEAN markets, Middle East, Africa and South America.
- Force Motors has worked with specialists and domain experts from Italy, Spain, UK, Germany, Japan and USA for the development of this platform.
- The Urbania is designed with a two-box construction to keep the interior engine NVH in check. It also offers segment-first independent front suspension with transverse springs.
- Production has commenced at the new state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities particularly created for this platform. First batch will be shipped to dealers in the coming fortnight.
- Force Urbania also provides segment first crash and rollover compliance along with airbags for driver and co-driver, even though current Indian legislation does not mandate them.
- More safety features include all-round ventilated disc brakes, ESP, ABS, EBD and ETDC. Some of the main exterior features are LED DRLs, Projector Headlamps and Taillamps with Guide Technology.
