Italian sports bike manufacturer Ducati has launched the new Diavel V4 power cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market. The price for this new power cruiser starts at Rs 25.91 lakh, ex-showroom. Alongside the motorcycle’s launch, the brand has also announced Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as the brand ambassador for Ducati in India. Ranveer is an actor known for his unconventional roles and fashion sense. He is also an auto enthusiast, and by partnering with Ducati, he has demonstrated his passion for automobiles.
The Ducati Diavel V4 has been officially introduced in India, and deliveries will commence across all Ducati dealerships in cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh. The Diavel V4 has always stood out in the motorcycle market due to its distinctive appearance, which complements Ranveer’s personality. Combining elements of a sports bike and a power cruiser, the Diavel V4 features a muscular fuel tank capable of holding up to 20 liters of petrol, making it suitable for long-distance cruising.
Ducati will offer the Diavel V4 in two color options: Ducati Red and Thrilling Black. The flat headlamp design, along with the side-mounted exhaust and single-sided swingarm, gives the motorcycle a unique identity. For the Diavel V4, Ducati employs a monocoque aluminum frame. The front suspension features 50 mm USD forks, while the rear suspension utilizes a monoshock, both of which are fully adjustable. Brembo supplies the front with a 330 mm disc and the rear with a 265 mm two-piston caliper. The motorcycle is also equipped with cornering ABS.
A 5-inch TFT color display, featuring Ducati’s multimedia system and turn-by-turn navigation, enhances the motorcycle’s technology. In line with motorcycles at this price point, the Ducati Diavel V4 includes riding modes, power modes, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Daytime Running Lights, Ducati Brake Light, Cruise control, all LED lights, dynamic turn indicators, and more.
Under the hood, the Ducati Diavel V4 is propelled by a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine generating 165 Bhp at 10,750 rpm and 126 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a quick-shifter and auto-blipper. With a seat height of 790 mm, the Diavel V4 offers a comfortable riding position thanks to its redesigned handlebar.
Returning to Ranveer Singh, he is one of Bollywood’s prominent actors. Known for his penchant for expensive and exotic cars, Ranveer owns a variety of vehicles, including the Aston Martin Rapide S, Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule Edition, and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, among others. Although there is no evidence of Ranveer Singh riding a motorcycle in pictures or videos, his auto enthusiasm is evident. This is probably the first time, Ranveer Singh has actually become the brand ambassador of a two-wheeler brand in the country. Before this he was associated with Nexa which is a chain of dealership that sells Maruti’s premium offerings like XL6, Ciaz. His wife, Deepika Padukone, also boasts an assortment of cars in her collection, including a Maybach GLS600 gifted to her by the actor on her birthday.
