BSA Motorcycles has launched the new Star Gold range of motorcycles in UK priced at £6,500 for the Highland Green, £6,800 for the Insignia Red, Midnight Black and Dawn Silver, and £7,000 for the Silver Sheen Legacy Edition. The new BSA Gold Star motorcycle, the first model unveiled by India's Classic Legends, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, which now owns the storied British motorcycle brand. The motorcycle also made an appearance at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed in West Sussex, England. The models will arrive at the dealership in August this year. The new BSA Gold Star is a modern classic motorcycle which takes design inspiration from BSA motorcycles of the past, including BSA's most successful motorcycle, the Gold Star.
The BSA Goldstar comes with a 652 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine at its heart, sporting the classic fins that were present on the block of the original air-cooled unit's design. The new BSA Gold Star's single-cylinder engine's output is 45 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 55 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm and has been developed by BSA in partnership with the Technical University of Graz to meet the latest emission standards. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed gearbox, with a slip and assist clutch.
