Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of the Chetak electric scooter in the market. Called the Chetak Blue 3202, this new trim is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and undercuts the Blue 3201 Special Edition by almost Rs 14,000. The scooter will be available for purchase on Flipkart in the coming weeks.
The new Chetak Blue 3202 will be available in four colour options including Brooklyn Black, Cyber White, Indigo Metallic, and Matte Coarse Grey. Bookings for the same are currently underway at the official Chetak website for a token amount of Rs 2,000. The standard Bajaj Chetak is offered in two trims– Urbane and Premium.
The Chetak Blue 3202 variant gets the same 3.2 kWh battery pack as the Premium variant but with a higher single-charge range of 137 km. Interestingly, the Chetak Premium is priced at Rs 1.47 lakh and offers a range of 126 km on a full charge. This is due to the newly procured battery cells incorporated in the Blue 3202 variant.
As with other variants of the Chetak, this one is also offered with the TecPac Package at an additional cost. This includes optional features such as hill-hold assistance, roll-over detection, and extra riding modes– Sport and Crawl. Other notable features on offer in this variant include LED headlights with LED DRLs, a USB charging port, and integrated connectivity options through the Bajaj app with over-the-air updates.
Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 will go up against the likes of the Ather Rizta, the Ola S1 Air, and TVS iQube S, and Hero Vida V1 in the Indian market. Although not mentioned clearly, the new Chetak Blue 3202 is expected to be powered by a 4.2 kW hub-mounted PMS motor that produces 5,36 bhp and 16 Nm of torque.
