Hyderabad-based electric vehicle maker Atumobile on Thursday launched its latest high-speed AtumVader e-bike, at an early bird price of Rs 99,999.

Earlier this month, the company received ARAI's (Automotive Research Association of India) nod for this new café racer model. With a 2.4 kWh battery pack, AtumVader offers a range of 100 km on a single charge and a top speed of 65 km/hour.

"We were able to design this electric bike keeping in mind Indian roads, and riders, with the assistance of our R&D experts and in indigenous solar-powered zero-emission facilities, making it a truly green and sustainable electric bike," Vamsi G Krishna, Founder of Atumobile, said.

The company is offering the first 1,000 bikes to the customers at an early bird price of Rs 99,999, which they can reserve for a pre-booking price of Rs 999 only, he said.

The Atum Vader is being manufactured at the company's Patancheru facility in Telangana. The facility has a maximum production capacity of 3,00,000 electric bikes per annum, the release said. PTI IAS SHW

Atumobile, a Hyderabad-based indigenous ‘Make in India’ sustainable electric vehicle manufacturing company, launches Atum Vader – India’s first high-speed café racer style electric bike. Apart from its unique design, the bike comes with impressive features such as a 65 km/h speed, a 100 km/charge range, a 2.4 kWh battery pack, a tougher tubular chassis, LED indicators and tail lamps, 14 litre boot space, among others. The Atum Vader electric bikes are manufactured in the company's Net Zero manufacturing facility in Patancheru, Telangana which recently increased its production capacity from 25,000 units per annum to a maximum of 3,00,000 units. This facility, powered by ATUM – World’s 1st Electricity Generating Solar Roof, spans an area of 20,000 sq.ft. total.

Earlier this month, the Atum Vader received its Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) approval making it one of only two ARAI-approved electric bikes in the entire country. Atumobile launched its first electric bike, the Atum 1.0, in October 2020. It was a low-speed café racer style electric bike which has sold over 1000 units so far, nationwide.

Atumobile has commenced the deliveries of Atum Vader in India. The first bike was delivered in Telangana. It's priced at ₹1.35 Lakh and ₹1 Lakh for students.
  • Atum Vader features 65 Kmph speed, 100 Kms per charge range, 2.4 kWh waterproof battery pack, tubular chassis, LED indicators and taillamps, 14L boot space etc.
  • The bike is manufactured at the company's Net Zero manufacturing facility in Patancheru, Telangana which recently increased its annual production capacity from 25,000 units to 3,00,000 units.
  • This facility is powered by an electricity generating solar roof and spans an area of 20,000 sq.ft. Atum aims to sell 12,000 bikes in the upcoming financial year and currently has 30 dealers across India.
