So, only the clean leader is Maurti. And surprised to see that Swift overtaken Alto 800+K10 which has been leading in the list.

Also, surprised to see Tiago sales also fallen last month[confused]

Maruti Suzuki knows the market very well. They know what to sell and how to sell. Alto, the most cramped yet the most successful car is an example of Maruti's sales expertise. Build cars as light as possible, add a good engine, cut on safety features but add a good infotainment and excel in 'Kitna Deti Hai?'. This is the formula which sells best in India. Not only Maruti, but Hyundai and now Renault with Kwid is selling on the same formula.

Tata, even after doing a lot of efforts in new products, is not able to get rid off it's bad brand image. Also, Tata needs to train and discipline its employees from plants to showrooms to service stations. Tiago has waiting period, Why Tata ? Your Nano plant is working on lower than one tenth of its capacity and still you are not making enough Tiagos to deliver on time ? A Tigor killer is being launched by Maruti Suzuki soon. It's the time Tata needs to act accordingly and offer better deals on Tiago-Tigor.

Next year i'll add another tata vehicle, so do have enough time to choose between storme 4wd vs tata hexa 4wd.
proud to own already tata vehicle, soon another tata will follow, every car is different they can't take place of any previous cars, but they go one step further and create their own path.

Surprised at Swift sales, I think Maruti has pushed Sales in April 17 instead of old Dzire. I expect the new Dzire to outsell Swift in May 17. But wow, Maruti is on a roll.

Maruti is on a roll because of it's distribution strength. They have the highest number of dealership now crossing 2000 pan India. The second largest car manufacturer Hyundai has 700 odd. Now assuming Hyundai cars are at par or better than MSIL products how can an i20/Grandi10 outsell a Swift/DZire with just one third sales outlets vs MSIL? Well this gap will keep increasing by 2020 as Maruti is going for 4000+ dealerships and they will surely have more than 75% marketshare!
And Maruti has the good luck of using Fiat diesel engine which they have exploited it to the max by making 8 different cars with the same 1.3MJD engine across price segments from 5.5 to 12 laks. No other manufacturer was able to do the same engineering feat!

Tata getting over ambitious showing in numbers of Tiago and Tigor. Within a year, if I remember, Tiago prices were increased almost 20%, while direct competition Celerio had hardly any increase.

Wonder why Sumo numbers are so less? Any refresh coming up?

20%!!! Not 20%. But there has been a price increase by about 5 - 7% for sure. Still the Tiago is the best value for money car in that segment. Hyundai sells it's Grand i10 mainly on large discounts. The Tiago + Tigor volumes are around 7500 units currently, which should go up to about 10,000 units by festival season.

The volumes for the Indica/Indigo/Sumo seem to have suffered badly in April'17 mainly due to the BS3/BS4 issue at the end of the previous month.
