Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has officially launched the all-new Shine 100 in India at Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom, India). Production for the newly launched Honda Shine 100 will start from next month onwards, while deliveries will commence from May 2023. As per Honda, the Shine 100 has been developed with 12 patent technologies that have helped enhance the reliability of the bike
It will come powered by a new OBD2-compliant 100cc engine. It has been developed to deliver better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. It will be cradled inside a newly developed light diamond frame. This engine is likely to churn out close to 8bhp of power and around 10 Nm of torque (the official power and torque figures are awaiting confirmation). Transmission duties in the commuter bike will also in all probability be managed by a 4-speed gearbox.
The Shine 100 will feature PGM-Fi fuel injection technology and Honda's Friction Reduction technology. Moreover, by placing the fuel pump outside the fuel tank, and with an automated choke system, Honda claims the new Shine 100 will be easy to maintain and will have a smooth start in all weather conditions.
It will have a long seat measuring 677mm, coupled with an optimum seat height of 786mm. Needless to say, the bike has been designed keeping everyday comfort in mind, and coupled with its ground clearance of 168mm and wheelbase of 1245mm, the Shine should ride comfortably over most uneven surfaces.
The Honda Shine 100 features includes, a dual analog instrument cluster, and halogen headlight and tail light units. In addition, the bike will also equip a side stand with an engine inhibitor (this feature prevents the engine to start when the side stand is down), and a combi-brake system with equalizer.
It will be available in 5 colour options ie Black with Red stripes, Black with Blue stripes, Black with Green stripes, Black with Gold stripes, and Black with Grey stripes.
The Honda Shine 100 will be available with a special 6-year warranty package. Out of which 3 years will be standard, and 3 years will be an optional extended warranty.
