Ford Figo petrol New engine air filter.

I was surprised to see the old filter was not dirty as expected. It's more than a decade old and yet it can be used further if cleaned properly.
I was in a dilemma, whether to keep using the old filter or put in the new one right away. But better sense prevailed and I have put the new one in the car.

It's cheaper than the after-market parts even after being imported. ZIP filter was around 250. Betrayal garage charged 650 for after-market (Opel) filter.

Radio antenna of Figo has taken quite a beating for a decade in the open sun. Although the receiver / FM transmission works fine ,the look of the antenna has gone for a toss. Rubber and plastic is peeling off.
I searched for the replacement all over, but its very costly in the accessories store. I have decided to either replace it with OEM antenna, or go for a shorter version as seen in Maruti cars.

Almost all Ford antennas I have seen are peeled over time. @vishnu vichu and @bikerharis replaced them with new on their Fiestas. I just covered it with heat shrink sleeve. Sad part is most of the aftermarket antennas won't fit directly. There are two type of bases, male and female. If it's female, then universal ones will fit. I think it is M4 or M5 thread size. It the base is male, then only Ford OE will fit. Stock antenna for male base costs 800-900 and female one is cheaper like 400-500.

What sort of name is that ??
Is it sarcasm? Hope it is so.
Sarcasm for sure. The garage that betrays [frustration]. The one that installed smaller Opel Corsa filter that clogged the throttle body.

Shorter version will suit only when antenna is on rear. You can look into Hyundai Verna (2014) model, its antenna is long like in Figo.
Thank you for your advice. I have gone ahead and procured genuine Figo accessory. If it fits( because it looks like Fiesta one) I intend to keep it. If there is an issue I will look for Hyundai antenna.

Got screwed up many times because of the part mismatch, so did a small homework [lol]
Your Fiesta thread has been a beacon of light and knowledge for noobs like me. It keeps on helping me in rejuvenating my Figo. It clears most of my doubts.
I thank you for that.

This is the confusing part.
Antenna aerial is imported, I can understand that. But why are there 2 country names on the slip??

Maybe the sticker is made in great Britain, and the actual part in Vietnam.
Or maybe vice versa.
Confusing.

Made in Great Britain and exported to Vietnam. Ford India got it from Vietnam. If you look closely, the label is printed in China [lol]

Some OEs are even more complicated. Merc got some parts made in India and exported to their global warehouse in Germany and reshipped to regional warehouse in Singapore and then shipped back to India on order.

Rear wheel wells were super dirty. Today when I removed the rear right tyre, I found that the tyre simply refused to come out. I started hammering the wheel, but no result. I used lots of WD40 on the hub side ,again no result.
After using jack and tyre lever, somehow, I removed the tyre, only to find heavy rusting of the wheel hub. This rust damage is because of the water seepage behind the wheels which were never ever removed/opened for a decade !!.
I have decided to:
1) remove the rust by sanding
2) clean the area
3) paint the clean hub.
