Skoda has introduced the Monte Carlo specification for its Slavia sedan for the first time, with prices starting at Rs 15.79 lakh. The Czech brand had previously added the Monte Carlo trim to its Rapid sedan and the Kushaq midsize SUV. Skoda has also expanded the Slavia range by introducing the Sportline trim. The brand has announced that the first 5,000 bookings made for the Monte Carlo and Sportline can avail benefits worth Rs 30,000, though this offer is only valid until September 6.

As is usually the case, Monte Carlo variants are based on the model’s respective top-spec trim. For the Slavia, it’s the Prestige. So, the Monte Carlo Slavias have all the Prestige features, such as the powered sunroof, ORVMs, the 380W subwoofer for the 8-speaker audio system, front ventilated seats and an 8-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Here’s the complete list of the Prestige variant’s features.

What sets the Monte Carlo variants apart are the black highlights on the grille, the badges, the door handles, the side skirts, the rear spoiler and the bumpers. Then, there are 16-inch alloy wheels in black colour. Skoda offers the Slavia Monte Carlo in Tornado Red and Candy White exterior finishes. Inside, the Slavia Monte Carlo features a red and black theme, with even the instrument cluster getting a red theme. These variants even have aluminium pedals.

The Monte Carlo variants cost about Rs 20,000 less than the Prestige ones (Rs 15.99 lakh-18.69 lakh) and are available with three powertrain options: the 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol that gets 6-speed manual and torque convertor auto options, and the 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol that has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic only.
