I’m sharing a few photographs of Haridwar, Rishikesh and Rajaji National Park. Especially for our members from South who had earlier requested to post some pictures of scenic locations in Northern India. We had reached on Laxman Jhoola early morning at around 6:00 AM and could sense the shivering cold but fresh air direct from the Ganges. Later noon, we also planned a quick trip to the small area of Rajaji National Park which lies in this location but there’s not much of fauna that you could see in this part (Unlike Corbett). Just visit to enjoy only the natural beauty of the Jungle.

How did you commute from Delhi & what's the distance to Haridwar.

Thanks. I went there by Car. Approx. distance from Delhi to Haridwar is 200 Kilometers. Thankfully the roads are good enough and not very dusty (Unlike in many parts of U.P).

Lovely Pictures 350Z. I also went to Dehradun last weekend for some work and it's a lovely place. Rishikesh is one such place with it's beauty intact not affected by commercialization at all. One feels to live there forever.

Nice to know that some of us share the memories attached with this place. Agree with Safire90 that Rishikesh has still not lost its originality but there is still a big scope of improvement nonetheless. Though the recently constructed highway on the way from Delhi is breeze to drive.
