Mahindra Mojo and Mahindra Stallio Revealed

Mahindra 2 Wheelers has taken the wraps off its first motorcycles for the Indian market. The manufacturer is scheduled to officially launch the two bikes on September 30. The first model named the Stallio is a commuter motorcycle. It comes with a four-stroke, single-cylinder and air-cooled 106.7cc engine that is mated to a four speed gearbox. Peak power is 7.3bhp at 7500rpm and max torque is 0.8kgm at 5500rpm.

The Stallio uses telescopic forks up front and adjustable shocks at the rear. Alloy wheels, an electric starter, a fully digital instrument console and LED tail lamps are features available on this bike. The second bike is called the Mojo. The Mojo features a four-stroke, fuel-injected, single-cylinder and liquid-cooled 292cc powerplant. Double overhead camshafts (DOHC) operate this engine's four valves. Peak power is a healthy 25.8bhp at 8500rpm. Max torque is 2.5kgm at 7000rpm. The Mojo rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and uses inverted front telescopic forks and a monoshock rear suspension. Braking is courtesy a 320mm front and a 220mm rear petal disc. Tubeless tyres, a digital speedometer, mirror-mounted indicators and a dual exhaust system are other interesting Mojo details. Mahindra 2 Wheelers is yet to announce the pricing for these two bikes.

the Mojo looks yuck! though the specs are impressive, i doubt anyone would buy such a ugly bike.

i like the bronze frame, the tank, the fairing & even the fake scoops... but the headlights spoil it all.

Specs of Mojo is amazing , they have tried to innovate the overall design by tinkering too much with the tank design , headlamps and the end result is pathetic!

The specs of mojo is quite impressive.
I didn't like the headlight of the bike.
But i liked other design stuff's of the bike.
Any info on price, It would play a major role.

Mojo??? Reminds me of Austin Powers. Groovy Baby yeah.
Both the bikes look goofy.
But still apart from the name Mojo looks interesting in some way. Kind of a star wars chopper.

On the serious note,Have all the manufacturers lost it when it comes to naming their products.

The Mahindra Stallio is a tough and durable bike with several stylish features which puts it in a distinct motorcycling segment. These include digital speedometer, powerful LED tail lamps, pilot LED lamps and a fully flush fuel tank cap. It is a handcrafted machine and a one of its kind lifestyle motorcycle which will soon go into production. Mahindra 2 Wheelers has, in fact, devised a unique marketing and promotion strategy for this ultimate performance bike which will be revealed when the bike will be available for sale in the next 3-4 months. This modern classic is driven by a 4V DOHC engine which offers peak power of 26 BHP @ 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 24 Nm @ 7000 rpm, making it a performance biker’s dream come true. It also features a 6 speed gearbox, as opposed to the regular 5 speed gearbox found amongst its peers, along with a sporty dual exhaust for the right propulsion.

The Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system has been developed by Ducati Energia of Italy. In an industry first, the Mojo sports inverted front shock absorbers developed by Paioli of Italy, which ensures superior shock absorbing ability at high speeds. This is complemented by a horizontally mounted mono shox at the rear, allowing for much more comfortable ride. Radially mounted assembly also helps in accurate braking. The Mojo is the first ever motorcycle in India to sport Pirelli tubeless radials. They are also the widest tyres in their class (4” x 17” at the rear), ensuring greater stability. These are complemented by edgy front petal disc brakes which are the largest in the segment at 320 mm to ensure safe braking. There’s a disc brake at the rear as well.
The bike also features LED pilot lamps and tail lamps with clear lens indicators in the headlamp, ensuring greater visibility for the rider. The display includes a digital speedometer with fuel gauge, tripmeter, gear shift indicator, and analogue tachometer. The bike also sports indicators on the rear view mirrors, which are not seen on Indian bikes. This showstopper sports an aerodynamic ‘tear drop’ shape and a classic gold frame assembly with twin headlamps adding to the bike’s distinctly retro look. The dual pipe frame adds strength to the overall structure of the bike, while the under cowl enhances the Mojo’s macho appeal. This ‘exoskeleton’ look is usually only found in top notch brands.

The Mojo is available in a choice of two colours – red and black. Customers also have the option of customising their bikes with a range of decals.

Mahindra have erred with the pricing of Mojo and also it doesn look good enough for that price!


But several first in segment features make the bike special!
