Detachable FM Antenna

For those who wish to cover their car, the antenna can be removed by gently twisting it clockwise from base.

Card and Coin Holder

The coin holder is cleverly located on the glovebox jamb in the Fiesta whereas the card holder is on extreme left inside the glovebox itself.

Adjustable Windscreen Washer Jets

The windscreen washer jets can be adjusted in any direction (left, right, top, bottom) for a precise throw using an all-pin.

Built-in Rear Foglamps

Many are unaware that foglamps in the Fiesta Classic are built into the taillamp (unlike most cars of same segment). It’s the bottom-most lamp in the taillight assembly.

To turn on rear foglamps, pull the headlamp rotary knob twice (This works only if parking lamps are on)

Courtesy Lamps Auto Switch Off

There are total five interior lamps. They will switch off automatically within 10-15 minutes if there’s no activity.

This helps to prevent the battery from getting discharged. To turn them on again, switch on the ignition for a while.

Power Window Overheat Prevention

Power windows will stop functioning if operated continuously within short interval to prevent the motor from getting overheated.

Switch off and on the ignition again to operate them but only after allowing a sufficient time to the motor to cool down.
Auto-Lit MID

The mult-function info display as well as head unit screen lights up automatically when the car is unlocked.

The lights remain on even after the car is turned off. This is normal. The lights will turn off automatically after ten minutes.

Flatbed Rear Seats

Surprisingly very few are aware about this feature in Fiesta.

To fold the seats flat, push the seatbase forward and then unlock the backrest as usual.

Automatic Door Lock

To prevent the car from being left unlocked, central locking activates itself within 45 seconds after unlock button is pressed.

Programmable Remote Unlocking

Pressing the unlock button twice within three seconds also unlocks the passenger’s side doors.

To reprogram, press and hold the unlock and lock buttons simultaneously for at least four seconds with the ignition turned off

Direction indicators flash twice to indicate that the unlocking function has been successfully reprogrammed.

Pressing and holding both the buttons simultaneously for at least four seconds will again change the function back

Event Data Recorder

Fiesta is equipped with a unique hidden feature in its segment. It’s similar to black-box seen on aeroplanes.

The data recorder always works whenever the car is on. It records info like speed etc. which could be used by authorities in event of an accident.

Passenger Airbag Deactivation Switch:

Should you need to install a child seat on co-passenger side, it’s strongly recommended to install the passenger side deactivation switch from any Ford workshop.

A/C Cut Off on Hard Acceleration:

Fiesta’s air conditioner will automatically switch off during hard acceleration in order to prevent damage to the engine.

Limited Operation Strategy Programme:

If a technical fault occurs, the car can be driven to a few kilometers at normal speed (Upto 60 Kmph) to reach to the nearest workshop.

Low Fuel Safety Mode (TDCi)

Diesel cars must never run out of fuel. Fiesta Diesel will automatically turn off if the fuel tank is on verge of getting empty, to prevent damage to the engine.

Auto-Fuel Cut Off

This is applicable to both models (Petrol and Diesel). The fuel supply will cut off in event of a crash.

The car also automatically turns on the hazard lamps to warn the traffic. Fuel cut-off switch is located behind the glovebox.

All of those features are like standard features and only few are really nice like the one that seats can be folded . It will solve the purpose of transporting goods but then again its not a pickup truck .

LOSP is present in almost all the cars , Mine 1996 Skyline has it too. Its called LIMP Mode /Emergency mode.

Fuel cut off is also present in almost all the cars here . and I guess people should know all this. it will be so unusual when a person driving the car says , oh it has this feature.. how stupid will one sound

The title says it all. None of these features are ‘new’ or ‘exclusive’ (Data recorder might be an exception) but definitely something that owners normally miss out.

Another Point: The boot cannot be unlocked through its own button once the central locking is activated from inside.

I realized yesterday that 12V socket doesn't works (atleast to charge the mobile phone) if car is idle.
