Citroën India has become one of the first OEMs in the country to introduce Usage Based Insurance (UBI) by collaborating with ICICI Lombard General Insurance for customers buying the Citroën ËC3.

- This initiative empowers customers to embrace safe driving practices and rewards them with potential savings on insurance premiums.
- UBI is connected with vehicle usage as well as driving behavior of the user over the insurance term and the renewal premium is calculated on basis of the driving scores as per the evaluation by insurance company.
- Subject to customer consent, the vehicle and driving dynamics data is collected in real-time and used for scoring purposes to determine the premium by the Insurance Company.
- UBI can be opted in either at the time of car purchase at the Citroën dealership and also later through the ‘Citroën My Connect App’. Initially, UBI will be offered on ËC3 and later offered in the upcoming connected cars.
- Drivers with high scores will be able to save on insurance renewal premiums.
- Encourage safe driving which will collectively reduce road accidents and promote road safety.
- Customers will have access to driving scores periodically and will get tips to improve their driving behaviors.
