It's going good. ENough thread to last another 10k km. No punctures till date.

WOW , labour rates are so low.

here in tvs , the service labour is 225. which do not include any work in valve/head seating etc. that is extra

It was last free service for my bike . Labor for everything else was free which came under routine service. Chain life was almost over and they did reconditioning for the chain [removed the chain and sprockets and cleaned thoroughly and lubed], so the 100 rs labor. Else I'd to pay only for the oil and spring. Even the wash was free.

Yep , here its same. in that 225 the water wash is also included.

AFAIK, the FZ tyres are not soft compound.

Only the R15 has soft compound tyres.

hey awesome review man!! your FZ looks so cool and shes beautifully maintained. rightly said..looks like showroom new. but only thing i dont like is red fender which is looking aftermarket. no offence. great bike enjoy!!

Had first punture 2-3 weeks back. Rode on the flat tyre back home 17km. Thanx to tubeless tyre.

If its a small puncture you can always fill air and drive for few kms easily. Biggest advantage of having tubeless tyres!

Got new set of chain yesterday after booking on 23rd last month, but the original set still not showing any signs of death other than occasional clicking with dry. Still running on original.

Barricade turns 1 tomorrow and expect a DIY mod soon, most probably tomorrow.

Barricade turns 1 [November 26, 2010]

Thanksgiving Day [Nov 26] freak out turned B'day special run. Had to run in very heavy rain in crater-laden road. Still

doing smooth and strong.

Summary:

18649 km in 365 days

Current mileage - 39-45 kmpl [only city ride, swapped job, so no more late night/early morning highway runs]

Maintenance/consumables:
Oil filter x2
Oil x7 - Yamalube - Yamalube - Motul - Motul - Elf - Motul - Yamalube - Motul [All mineral]
Spark Plug x1 - NGK G-Power
Clutch return spring x1
Rear brake liner + spring x1
Punctures x3 [all rear]


Current issues:
Pending service.
Knocking noise from front fork, need tightening.
Choked air filter [not exactly, maybe psychological, but I want replacement, but out of stock]
Clogged carb or too lean mixture [need tuning]
Still running on original chain/sprocket set , which were diagnosed dead at 15k km by the service people and I bought the spare chain set.
Rear tyre loosing traction in wet/gravel, almost end of its life, still lot of thread left, and susceptible to puncture.

Apache bar-end weights on CBZ rods
FZ-S Red Airscoops
Custom-painted matt black side panels, headlight side panels & exhaust cover
Custom rim stripes.
