Hello TAI member,
I have opened this new thread to discuss any technical problem or faults in i20 cars. I could not found any thread regarding i20 cars, so just opened a new one.
Hope your participation
Before i post the technical difficulties i have faced in i20, i would like to get introduced to the esteemed owners of i20.
From my side, i have i20 sportz 2012 petrol mode in pearl white color. I will post the pics of the car soon.

Hi allhyundai, thanks for coming in. Sometime I could not put reverse gear, even after pushing clutch couple of time.
Have anybody else faced this issue?

buddy one tip from my side before engage reverse always engage first gear .

Thanks for the tip. I will surely try this out. Is this a technical fault??
Now a days i started getting another similar problem. When i am in third gear and on a road turn when i need to downshift to 2nd gear, it does not get into. After pusing gear 2-3 time only it get into 2nd gear. Any idea about this issue.

That's a flawless car except for the "kitna deti hai" part (applies to Petrol version). Hyundai quality is at par or better than Honda/Toyota, just my opinion, based on my experience. This applies to the popular model of cars built by Hyundai in the last ~6 years.
Also, their automatic transmission box is nothing short of excellent.

I drive i20 Auto (2009) and Santro Xing Auto (2006). Both cars are competing with Nokia phones - almost unbreakable.

i'm sure i replied here , but i can't see my comment that's strange.

coming back to the topic - i earlier wrote

i also face similar problem in my i10 , i can't put the gear into reverse and have to try 3-4 times.

my car is more than 3 years old but you should get it checked asap. there was a similar problem in my verna also , couldn't engage gears even when the car was moving. reported this to service center , they did something and all's well now

Steering,gears,ac are all basics of any car & this is where hyundai always fails.

One cant compare honda,toyota with these hyundai carts.

Hyundai spare parts not designed to last long.

Only good interiors r not sufficient for any car.

Steering,gears,ac are all basics of any car & this is where hyundai always fails.

just because 2-3 cars are facing some issues doesn't mean all hyundai cars have the issue.

Google it u wil find laks of complains are there.

I myself also own new gen i10 for your kind information.

I cant stop my laugh as u said 2-3 cars having issues!my god!
