Mahindra XUV500 Paint Issue

I am seeing some small but strange bead like structures appearing on the paint of my one month old xuv.
As per my best knowledge they were not present at time of buying but appeared later.
Pls suggest whether something is wrong with paint or its due to some external factors.
I am also attaching some pics.

It's on the front left door.

On left fender.

it looks like a dust or grain inside the Paint coat.
tried buffing?

No I didn't try buffing.
Is it something serious or not.
I mean any chance that they will increase in size etc.

it wont increase but most probably if you try to remove the particles you will scratch your paint. These particles look like they are embedded inside the paint coat so even buffing wont help. this is a manufacturing defect, if you can live with it well and good but if not contact your RM and the mahindra call center about the same ask them to at least get that part repainted. I dont know if they will agree to do so but they should.

I second to what kinshuk said, it seems these particles were embedded during the paint process and even buffing or trying to remove that would scratch your paint and sides of that particles.
Best would be to contact mahindra and your dealer and see what they reply back.

If you are sure about this statement (not present when you bought it) it may be the issue of rusting / corrosion under the paint surface (between paint & sheet metal) which will grow in size and get peeled-off sooner.

Or like others suggested, if it is foreign particle under the paint coat, this shouldn't cause much harm.

For any case, mistake is not yours. Get it corrected from the A.S.S (to be on the safer side)

PS: If you are getting it tinkered and painted, I would suggest witness it with your own eyes to ensure the quality and understand the magnitude of damage.

Buffing will not help, i can see 2 probable reasons

1) Foreign particle during a factory paint process - unlikely but always a possibility. This should have beeen checked during the QA.
2) The part was repainted by the dealer due to some damage in transit etc.

How many of such beads exist - is it one or 2 or many , is it at specific areas only or scattered all around, if its concentrated in one area it means there's a good chance someone damaged something and it was repainted without your knowledge.

One present on front left fender.
Two on left front door.
I think two three more.I will check again and update.

As per ASS its due to some particles in paint.I confirmed from them last week.
But i really doubt becuase I clean my SUV myself and if they were there from starting then I must have seen them before.
ASS gurgaon calls one guy from the Nissan ASS just adjacent to them and as per him its due to some dust particles in outer coat.But i doubt.

Now i see two possibilities
1)If they are present from starting(may be i didnt notice but i dont think so) then the reasons could be
a)Painting by showroom,to hide some damage.
b)Manufacturing defect and particles in outer coat.

2)Corrosion/rust between sheet and paint surface.

Guys is there any way I can confirm any one of the above mentioned possibilities.By checking paint surface or some other technical process by which i can know the exact reason.

BTW what is the duration of paint guarantee/waranty given by mahindra?

Hi sandy, sorry to see those paint grains, as I would call them, on your brand new xuv.
They are present on my xuv too, but only on the roof.leave them as such.I don't think that you can get rust issue in future.

Did you check with M & M bodyshop folks? If so, what was their response. they are the specialists and never know there may be a quick solve for u.
Going by a month old car DIY is last thing I would look at

i got my XUV checked at two different dealerships sterling Gurgaon and PP automotive karnal.
As per them it's due to some foreign particles in paint and I need not to worry.
PP automotive karnal is ready to give me in written that it's ok and will not increase in future.if something will happen wrong they will take care.

Now should I believe these guys or not?
Is there any other higher level where I can get my XUV checked or report the issue?
I am still not fully satisfied with their answers and want to know the exact reason behind these paint grains.

PP automotive karnal gave me an option for rubbing.should I go for rubbing to get these grains removed or not.keeping in mind that my XUV is brand new.
