The 46th Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally - Delhi NCR

For those who missed the HMCI Vintage Car Drive (http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...153-hmci-vintage-car-bike-show-faridabad.html) earlier now have a reason to rejoice because 46th Edition of The Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally is soon going to add a nostalgic elegance to the roads of Delhi-NCR. Fortis Memorial Research Institute is organizing India’s one of the premiere events. This rally will witness over hundred of vintage, classic and post-war cars including beauties like 1914 John Morris, India’s first fire engine owned by Nizam of Hyderabad, 1919 Citroen and 1925’s Rolls Royce Phantom 1. The entry is by invitation only and The Automotive India is privileged enough to be invited to watch this truly amazing event live on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Yesterday, it was truly a wonderful day amidst in the ocean of several mesmerizing vintage and classic cars. Probably the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Isn’t it? I spoke to a few vintage car owners who were actually so passionate about their vehicles. One of the persons is Mr. Manoj Sharma who owns a Dodge Kingsway and has spent over lakhs of rupees to restore and make it in pristine condition. Many other vehicles too had participated in this rally, right from a Volkswagen Beetle to Rolls Royce Phantom 1. Here are all the photographs, just have a look.
