The Early 1990s Rover Montego Estate

Sipani automobiles once launched a station wagon version of erstwhile premium luxury car, called the Rover Montego in the early 1990s. As per the historical data, it was the second stationwagon to go on sale in India after the Tata Estate.
Power came from a 81 bhp 163 nm 1991 cc turbocharged diesel engine. This particular specimen was spotted at a local workshop in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Nice catch Sidharth. It seems that till recently the vehicle was in use seeing the engine bay and interiors. The steering wheel looks more like the Maruti Gypsy.

Good information about this Tata Estate type vehicle. Whether this is in running condition?
Red body color and Black top with White top side portion will be a good match if its repainted.
