Indeed, Maruti Suzuki India Limited is planning to roll out an automatic gearbox version of A-Star,this car has not been an “ultra hit” like other Maruti Suzuki models; however the Automatic version is expected to make it so because this will be the only automatic in segment after Hyundai i10. Recently I received a message from Maruti A-star about “Guess the price” contest. More details on their official facebook page.

Only one variant (VXi)
Pathetic 3 speed auto, formerly used on Wagon-R.
Terrible FE.

Confirmed – Launch date is on Independence Day, 15th Autgust 2010. Maruti Suzuki is tight lipped about its pricing and other details such as the variants in which it would be available.

Any news?
All that I could gather is that there is only one version - VXi ABS, and according to priceindia.com, the price is .Rs. 4.38 Lacs So I've half won!!
