Coverage: India Auto Expo, Chennai – July 2012

Hi folks,

This is my first Visit to Auto Expo, Chennai. Really I enjoyed a lot.

The Participants are.

1. Mercedes,
2. BMW,
3. Skoda,
4. Toyota,
5. TATA commercial vehicles,
6. Volkswagan,
7. Maruthi Suzuki,
8. Hyundai,
9. Hardly Davidson
10. Honda Motorcycles,
11.Hero Motorcycles.
12. DC Moded Cars &
13. Ashok Leyland.

Cars from Audi, Volvo, Land rover, Jaguar and Porsche are absent.

Even Most are the cars are very common on Chennai roads, But for me, I got a change to check those cars very nearly & even sat inside some of the cars :).

One car impressed the whole Expo. that is AMG. once they started the engine everyone said "wow...., what a sound......." Really a mind blowing Blasting sound.

Great coverage, Appu. It seems that this time’s event was more exciting than the previous editions. Needless to say that SLS is the showstopper wherever it goes.

Great coverage Appu . Loved the pics of new c class it's hands down gorgeous then the Audi a4 and BMW 3 series.

OHHHHHHHHHHHH.. How did i missed this. Anyway Very nice coverage. I think I have missed out AMG in my visit. I saw that car, but somehow we have moved to other counters. could not remember what happend.

Anyway I think the image you before Laura you should have been talking to when I was entering there? is that right?

Ashok Leyland stall displayed three vehicles including the Dost, Container and the Ambulance variants to capture the Commercial vehicle buyers at one place. Ashok Leyland Dost is the light commercial vehicle of the year 2012 and powered by a 1.5 litres TDCR engine that is compliant BS3 and BS-4 emission standard that generates 55 HP of power and 150 Nm of torque. It is equipped with fully synchromesh 5-speed gearbox with overdrive transmission type with 5-forward and 1 reverse gear. It is offered with three variants including LE, LS and LX be the top variant.
