Facelift of Alto coming soon, could have the AMT variant. Design cues carried from Celerio.The Alto K10 facelift is expected to be launched towards the festive season of this year

Speculated Alto K10 Facelift Changes:
  • Larger more stylish swept-back headlamps
  • New engine grille with chrome outline on the top
  • Redesigned front bumper including the airdam and fog lamp housing
  • The car appears to be slightly taller than the current Alto K10
  • New rounded bonnet

It is essentially the Alto800 with a bigger bonnet to fit the bigger engine in.
But the Grille and lights are altered.

Spied – Maruti Alto 800 facelift caught on test; Inspired by Celerio

These spyshots, snapped by Motorbash reader, Mr. Anuj Kanojia, reveal that Maruti has started work on a refreshed Maruti Alto 800. Introduced in October 2012, the Alto 800 is Maruti’s best selling model, with monthly sales accounting for over 24,000 units (January-March 2014 period).

The test mules are identified as Alto 800s thanks to the shape of the rear door and the way the roof meets the door shutlines of the car. Based on the camouflaging present on these cars, we can report that Maruti designers have worked out a new headlight cluster which seems inspired by the recently-launched Celerio. The wing mirrors too are identical to the one’s used on the Celerio.

The side profiles are similar to those of the alto 800s... but its the alto k10 that is due for facelift.. alto 800 is too young to be facelifted in this short span.. and it is also the saleschart topper for maruti suzuki...

I have always felt the K10B engine is capable of delivering much more power than what it delivers currently (68PS).
Wish Maruti could plonk this engine in any of its car with an incresed output , say atleast upto 80 PS and improved low-end torque.

IAB Rendering

Recent spyshots have revealed that Maruti is working on a facelift for its best selling product, the Maruti Alto 800. Though the entry-level car was launched only in October 2012, a refresh is necessary in the wake of new competition coming from the Datsun Go, Hyundai Eon 1.0L and Renault XBA.

Based on the spy images, our artist, Shoeb, has come out with this rendering of what the Alto 800 facelift may look like. A major styling change we noticed on the spy images was that the refreshed Alto 800′s design seems influenced by the Celerio in many places. The headlights for example, are swept back to an extent and appear sharply cut.

Launching in Jan 2015, will be the completely new Alto K10 compact hatchback.

Maruti Alto K10's new design language will be similar to Celerio and feature AMT technology.
The new Alto K10 will be launched around January 2015. The design has completely been changed and it will now offer more space, more modern interiors as well as the AMT auto gear technology

i think this can be the new 800 with may be AMT or a diesel option.because dimensions are too close to the current 800. :stupid:

Great News.What a performance from the K10 !! But maruti has to seriously take safety as the first upgrade as this car has scored 0 on 5 stars in Crash test.Thank you

Alto K10 facelift releasing shortly. New Alto k10 will launch in Cng & AMT transmission as well and will be second AMT from MSIL after Celerio. At release it will be available in Petrol , CNG & AMT.

Alto k10 2015 Lxi will have AC with heater , power steering as standard .Tyre size willremain same as 13inch as first generation k10.
