I have seen many cars and bikes with led tail lamps. Wanted to make one for my car as a DIY.
Things used:

Soldering paste and wire

That's quiet interesting. waiting for the update. One thing that irks me is the LED fails often.

Waiting for the end result.. But what about indicators it will start blinking very fast as the voltage consumed will be less.

I have not yet tried the indicators on the car. I hope the indicator will not blink fast, as once I had removed the front and side indicators but the rear one was blinking at normal speed. If the LED indicators blinks fast then I'll make an IC based flasher and use it in place of the relay.

Today completed all the soldering and placed the PCB's into the back light. While testing the light with a 12v battery the output was like this.

Without the cover.

But when I connected the lights to the car, The indicator was glowing very dim [surprise] [cry]. This is because the supply is only for a fraction of second. The bulbs can glow with such a supply but the LED's need a constant 12v supply. I'll try some voltage regulator. If it does not work then I'll have to use bulbs for the indicators. As if I alter the relay or make a IC based relay the indicator blink rate will be slow. . .

Final result is good.. But you could have used higher wattage LED's so that it would be more brighter.

For park and brake lamp you could have used smd's or may be more number of LED's..
BTW : Have you used resistors or connected them in serial ?

Thanks Varun,
I have used Higher wattage LED's in Reverse and stop lights. The other LED's are smaller but SMD type LED. I have not yet tested the lights in night. But I have packed the Lights using fevibond. [frustration] Will try and post the results soon.

Thanks all, I'll upload a video soon . .

@ Varun I have not used any resistor, but connceted them in series of 4 LED's

After installing the lights on the car

Thanks for the reply Arjun,

Presently I have Installed LED lights only in the rear. The rear Indicators are working fine.
BTW: the product is nice & useful.
I'll soon install front LED indicators. If they blink fast I'll have to surely buy one or try making one myself.
