Best Gearless Scooter? (Bought Honda Activa DLX)

Hello Guys, Currently having an Activa 2003 Model.

It has been Reliable for all these years, Has done 50000kms on ODO and still Counting.
And also a hunt is going on for a new one.
The vehicle is basically for my mom.
Daily running 25 kms approx.

So which are the other Strong contenders for Activa.

Out of that list, i would suggest you to go for Honda Activa or TVS Wego. However since it will be used by your mom, i would suggest you to go for TVS Wego which has many useful features like external fuel filling, convinient centre stand etc.

I think all the above scooters are good enough! Your mom has to TD all those and pick one in which she feels comfortable.

Hey guys again i am asking for your help.

Is the current Activa heavy for ladies?
Is it reliable as the old ones.
What i heard from one of my friend was that the new engines of Activa are giving some problems within 10,000 kms.

We will be probably going for this in the new year.

My cousin already bought a TVS Wego(Black) last week for his wife, yet to drive it.

But within a week there was strange sound of a silencer hole.
Which TVS promptly replaced the whole silencer without any hesitation.

As there is a wego in family, its ruled out for time being.
Apart from activa any other strong contenders.

What about Aviator ?Also access is very good but has 6 months waiting.

Since you were using the activa for the past 8 years,the new activa DLX is a great choice.Its reliable and refined.
And TVS Wego is also a good one.But it appears smaller.
Mahindra Flyte is also worth considering.

I do not know much about other choices but I personally like Activa.

IMO you should have another activa in your garage,just for the looks and offcourse Honda's engine!

Thank you guys for the reply.

Today drove my cousin's Wego, here are my observations.

• The seating position is very good, and gives a firm support while riding.
• The acceleration is smooth, but once it reaches 40 i feel it is not moving further at all,My Activa has good pickup .
  
• Wego feels more lighter than my old Activa, IMO opinion is a good choice to go for Wego, As already one wego is there, i would like to go for Activa.

Heard from my friend that Activa is giving 30 kmpl with new one, is this true.
Can anyone shed some info on this?

Yes.

@ mukeshus i have heard from many of them it gives least 35kmpl and best 52kmpl.
well i had the new activa with me for 2 months it used to give 40-45 kmpl in city conditions

New activa gives in between 40 to 50, confirmed with some of my friends.

Activa's ride quality is good,well on the engine part i say it goes smoothly but the mileage figures are low when compared to the contenders here.

TVS Wego weighs lighter than Activa which brings confidence to ladies and they can balance it well,and you would know the everyday traffic problem especially in Bangalore!

Hey guys now its more of confusion, i brought the quotation for Activa its 53,650 + 4750 accessories.
Red & Black available immediately, silver needs waiting for 3 months, but we have some contacts where the vehicle will be delivered within a week.

Wego is available for 53,550 including accesories.

Now to confusion Aviator has also been added to list, what do you all have to say about Aviator.

And how is the Suzuki Access, can anyone shed some info on Suzuki access.
