Hi guys,
So recently I have bought 15 inch alloys ( MSW 23 ) and upgraded tires to Yokohama S drive 205/55/r15.
Tires are great. Handling improved a lot. Sideways floating(boat like feeling) reduced a lot.
I can push the car in 1st gear upto 4000 rpm without slipping of tires or loosing traction not even for a second which was there before.
I cant tell currently what change has occurred on braking.

The major ISSUE is when there are 5 people sitting in a car and on a high speed if you jump on uneven floaty roads , the inner edge of the body gonna touch the tires which is scary.

So i advise the Maximum plus sizing of tires on verna is 195/60/r15 for 15 inch alloys. I dont have any idea about 16 inches.

I am inquiring for aftermarket suspension upgrade , will be planning to put one.

Hey man, did you try the 205/50 R16. It is just your imagination that the bodywork will scrape the tyre. The overall difference in the diameter and circumference is within the acceptable levels. So no need to worry.

Ya its is in acceptable range within 3% deviation. But this is verna fluidic.
On this friday we had after graduation party. We were sitting total 5 people in a car and the tyre got marks after touching the body. I was driving upto 150 kmph and its happening only when i am on very high speed and on floaty roads.
I guess in one if the picture if you see properly you can see the tire marks on outer edge of the tire.

205/50/r15 is very low profile for indian roads. I cant go for that cause sometine i cant have control on my adrenaline rush.
I am planning to put spacer until i get TEIN suspension upgrade.

Keeping a spacer will reduce your car's handling to a noticeable extent. So don't go for the spacers if you have an aggressive driving style.

Ya i know that but i have to try that until i get suspension.
Very rarely 5 ppl sit in my car though. So its not very major issue.

Soon i am planning for projector headlamps too but not able to find one upto my expectations.

Ya 195/60/r15 is correct upsize for verna
But i have seen 205/45/r16 too in verna.
I dont know what mod they are doing n how they are surviving.

This place where i also bought my alloys. Thats 16 inches with 45 profile.

205/45-R16 is fine because it has lesser circumference than the 205/55-R15. It is a very low profile tyre for Verna. That image also shows the same.If you cannot afford the suspension, you can temporarily stiffen up your rear springs. It is easy and quick. Otherwise, you can use the spacers also. But if you have an aggressive driving style, never go for spacers.

Cheers,
hvrudhula.

How to stiffen up rear springs??
And What about Redrooster performance S Tech springs... ??
It costs 30k. Will it make difference or i need to buy whole suspension?
Any idea?

Springs that are stiff would be more than enough. No need to buy full suspension. Stiffening up springs means expanding them with a new bigger rod. It is the cheapest method for increasing ride height. For decreasing, buy a shorter rod and compress the springs. Always go for high performance springs if you want to change them.

Two more changes after the above upgrades

1. Steering feels slightly heavier but its still very light
2. Ground clearance is decreased slighly i guess upto 5 mm
You can see in a pic
My car on right side with 205/55/r15
Other car on left side with 195/55/r16 stock.

I guess braking is better then before but cant tell surely
